  1. Can someone explain what a TE is, and why we decided to start using one?
  2. My God, Portland State at Hawaii next week? BYU, UND, Hawaii.... I blame the jet legs for their 0-3 start.
  3. @Oxbow6 attendance estimate?
  4. At this point they are looking at a 100 loss season next year. The players who are "major league caliber" that they got back in trades aren't going to do anything, outside of maybe the young arms that have some chance to develop. Probably at the lowest point in franchise history, and I lived through the post 1991 WS teams until 2000. The Pohlads really turned a potentially good team into a disaster.
  5. I think I'm going to head up next Saturday and watch. An effort like today deserves support.
  6. Again, proud of the kids, represented the university well today. Losing hurts but it feels a lot better bickering about a chance to beat a top 25 FBS team on the road with a play or two that could've gone differently than about the team falling apart and folding like a tent with the previous coach.
  7. Credit to the kids, they battled. The third quarter was the difference. Others have already said it. Chance to win the game, attack mentality on offense. The play before the 2 minute warning can't be a run up the gut, just can't. Great first game for Jerry. Proud of the way he played.
  8. Everyone talks a lot about the Slukynsky in the net, but I thought Grant was excellent in the postseason for them on the line with Nehring and Valente. They return a good amount of their d core too. Having Herter back there doesn't hurt things by any means.
  9. I should've said in the top three of the league, or top half of the league.
  10. I see Western being at the top until Pat leaves for the NHL. That jerk just got Cooper Soller to commit to Kalamazoo too.....
  11. Kyle Hamilton now being the highest paid safety just makes me cringe. He was there for the taking in 2022, and we moved way back to take a guy who will be out of the league or on a practice squad. You are going to miss on numerous picks obviously, but that one was so clear, and it would've filled a major need. He could have learned from the hit man along the way too.

    Who is QB1?

    Okay, Jerry is QB1..... Mods.....
  13. Agreed. Lets see how many points he puts up on the prep team as a 16 year old, and then beyond. I think he's a kid that you could see in Dubuque next year as well if he keeps growing and adding mass, but the Wheat Kings are likely.
  14. Maybe Grubb can get his buddy Soller to UND.... Edit* I see he is a WMU commit. Shoot.
  15. First Western ND kid since..... Is it Fylling and Massen?
  16. Sam Howell, we barely knew you. Brosmer not quite ready, in comes Wentz. Hope he just sits back and watches JJ have a great year. Now about a WR.....
  17. Hope you are right! This program needs an outcome like that.
  18. The K State QB is a good player. Had some first game issues, but he will make some plays against us. I loved the way both coaches were attack mentality. The 4th and 3 at the end was a great call. Dale Lennon once said, "End the game on your terms." Nothing better than victory formation. Head over heart..... K-State 35 UND 17
  19. The team GPR could've had with him and Suda in the net.
  20. I haven't heard them pulling in anyone from around the state like French used to do. I'm interested to see how Olsonawski and crew do this year, although most of the team was Shanley kids anyways. I think its like you said. Central and Red River, and its the goal of every other team to make the all GF final not happen. Looks like kids left Minot even without that second team.
  21. I've heard that Deziel is playing up in Canada, but not confirmed. With or without I see GFC lifting #.....a lot.
  22. This is what I've heard, can't confirm it all, rumor mill material here. Sheyenne: Raan WFHS: Peterson, Mattern. Red River: Jackson I heard Keller from Minot, but haven't heard other names. Davies: Spiewak Legacy-Strom
  23. Figured I'd turn the page on last season and move forward to a new year with school getting going this week. On the North Dakota boy's side you've got a long list of early departures yet again, and some new coaches in West Fargo and Dickinson (haven't heard who will be the head man in Williston yet). I'll give the nod to Central to win the championship in the boys. I'd assume North/South in the girls division, but it was nice to see a different winner last year.
