Definitely the first NCHC league tournament ever held at the beautiful Target Center, and there was a large rat running right down the middle of the concourse. I looked at an employee and asked if anyone was going to do something? The reply, "Nah bro, that's one of the small ones."
TJ was good last night, but at this point of the season it's like the old John Madden quote about if you have two QBs you really have none.
Neither has been able to build on starts and get on a roll at all. The only way TJ is in the net Saturday in Denver is if he is sensational on Friday and likely steals the game. If he's average UND loses, and we hope Hobie can win in a tough place to win Saturday.
Wilkie tried that chip around play a number of times and it just does doesn't work on NCHC level defenseman. Probably worked at RIT, but just no chance here. Just chip it deep man we're killing.
I miss the days when our lines were set in stone by the end of January, and there were only slight changes made due to injuries or players being held accountable.
Another night, another new lineup. Schloss would know how many different lineups they've had.
6-8 in the EDC very unsettled at the moment. Sheyenne could finish as low as 8th, while Devils Lake could fight themselves out of the play in game with wins over North and South/Shanley.
So hear me out. Manitoba the opponent, raise the banner pre-game, then start the game with fireworks and a shootout. We could win the exhibition shootout, still lose, but keep Facebook happy.
It's okay if we hurt feelings and lose a recruit or two. It's about getting the program back to where it should be. The entire staff will find work somewhere. I'd like four new faces on the bench.
