I was wondering why he left the game. Both teams had backup goalies in after the first, makes a lot of sense now. I checked in with some Minot folks in the hockey community and he is indeed out tonight. I won't say the injury as we are talking about high school kids.

Best game looks to be Minot at Mandan. Give me: GFC, Bagley, Red River (big six points for them), Minot, West Fargo, Dickinson.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Minot lose in the first round, or in the state championship game quite honestly. You never want to lose a game, but thinking they wouldn't mind a loss before the state tournament, just not at WDA because you want to be the one seed and avoid GFC right away. East qualifiers: GFC, RR, WFHS, Davies. Sheyenne or North possible......but I'd take the under. West: Minot, Century, Legacy, Jamestown. Mandan and Bottineau possible....but the under on them as well. I hope I'm surprised. Nice to see different blood at the state tournament each year.

Yes. I appreciate how hard Dane has worked to get back from injuries, but in today's portal world I think he should look for a place he can get on the ice more when healthy next season, ala Dan Senkbeil. Give some of the young guys the opportunity to play more for the future like Croal..

I saw the end of RR and WF, and that was a great game. The purist in me hates to see a shootout at the end of a battle like that, but seems like we gotta have our shootouts nowadays. Friday night of the EDC tournament those two teams are on a collision course for round 3 in the late semifinal. I don't see either team having a hiccup really. Red River likely to finish #2, WF #3.
