Toss up game Friday. They should win, but won't be surprised in the least bit if they lose to Finland. Goaltending....meh....D zone structure is abysmal, and the forward groupings make zero sense to me. Zellers getting a regular shift and he's probably in the running for a top player award for team USA as hes +6 at the moment on a team that gives up goals like I give away shots on the golf course.

They are over playing Kleber to a fault. There are no byes into the quarters. You've got to roll your d men until it gets to those playoff games, then shorten the bench where necessary. They are playing too many games to have a kid at 24 minutes on day two. We all wear green glasses, but what is happening with Emery is a joke. 11 shifts yesterday against the Swiss? They aren't the little sisters of the poor, but you are setting yourself up for failure there over the short grind. Wish that game had went to OT like Canada's game to prove a point. Mooney just isn't physically mature enough yet. I can't believe the late game minutes he got yesterday.

Looking at the TOI and the total shifts is baffling. They won the game, but its extremely easy to see why they only beat a team like Switzerland 2-1, and were a crossbar away from OT. I mean we need Kleber for 24 plus minutes against the Swiss? He going to play 35 against Sweden?

Well in typical Vikings form, in a game that can ensure they finish 4th in the division and a weaker schedule, Max Brosmer throws for 51 yards (-48 yards in sacks) and the defense is lights out in the teams 4th win in a row. Next week will be interesting as the Packers may have a chance to win the division over the bears. If they don't, you'll see the Green Bay B squad I'd assume as they are in regardless. It would be a very Minnesota thing to win their last 5 games of the year after getting eliminated.

Spoke with a member of the USA hockey brass this week and of Monday they were very underwhelmed by ticket sales they saw. Need @MafiaMan to recruit more Ferris State fans to fill up the rink.

I wouldn't mind to see Team USA rotate with Carle and Leaman. Its a lot to be away from your team with all that goes on in an NCAA season. Funny the two coaches that seem to have the least amount of success are Gopher Bob and #gobc heart throb Scott Sandelin. Got to but cuts on the way as we inch towards Christmas.

How do you not put Zellers on the squad after the chemistry he had withe Lee? I get its just Germany in an exhibition. Better test ahead with the Finns.

McKenna did join my five year old yesterday in the not so glamorous category of shooting the puck into your own net during a game. Only difference is my kid took great pride in lighting the lamp for the other team.
