Everyone talks a lot about the Slukynsky in the net, but I thought Grant was excellent in the postseason for them on the line with Nehring and Valente. They return a good amount of their d core too. Having Herter back there doesn't hurt things by any means.

Kyle Hamilton now being the highest paid safety just makes me cringe. He was there for the taking in 2022, and we moved way back to take a guy who will be out of the league or on a practice squad. You are going to miss on numerous picks obviously, but that one was so clear, and it would've filled a major need. He could have learned from the hit man along the way too.

The K State QB is a good player. Had some first game issues, but he will make some plays against us. I loved the way both coaches were attack mentality. The 4th and 3 at the end was a great call. I haven't heard them pulling in anyone from around the state like French used to do. I'm interested to see how Olsonawski and crew do this year, although most of the team was Shanley kids anyways. I think its like you said. Central and Red River, and its the goal of every other team to make the all GF final not happen. Looks like kids left Minot even without that second team.

I've heard that Deziel is playing up in Canada, but not confirmed. With or without I see GFC lifting #.....a lot.

Figured I'd turn the page on last season and move forward to a new year with school getting going this week. On the North Dakota boy's side you've got a long list of early departures yet again, and some new coaches in West Fargo and Dickinson (haven't heard who will be the head man in Williston yet). I'll give the nod to Central to win the championship in the boys. I'd assume North/South in the girls division, but it was nice to see a different winner last year.

People should really look up unfiltered audio of what is said between these young guys battling it out for 60 minutes. There is some great ones where they've got minor league players mic'd up. When I coached high school I couldn't believe the stuff kids say back and forth. I'd say getting called "nodiks" would be friendly banter with what else gets said.

I'd say yes, but only due to my kids being out of school until late August. Things get much better when they are contained elsewhere.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'd love an entirely green get up on the road. Or even have just a home game where they did it once a year. I'm a big Notre Dame football fan (eggs headed my way, I know), and I love it when they go with the green get up of times past.

I can't see SDSU finishing 2nd with all the forced changes in their program and losing a tremendous QB. Still a lot of talent, but Dan Jackson is the coach of the year if he gets them to top 2 in the MVFC. As far as UND football goes: @ K State- Loss, but lets hang in there and show the program has made necessary changes. Portland State-Win @ Grizz-A very winnable game, but I'll say a loss. K state environment should help the kids for this environment. Valpo-Lots of playing time for all the kids this game. Win. @ Northern Iowa-Win Youngstown-Win @ SIU-Win Indiana State-That loss stung, lets route them at home. Win @ USD-Can't remember the last victory in the dome....Loss NDSU-A full house for the bizen.....heart over head....Win @ Murray-Win SDSU-Win I think 9-3 or 8-4 is very much on the table. Two out of three against the Dakota schools is very much in play. We've got to get over being a layup for teams on the road.
