  1. This. And our average punt being like 30 yards. I'd love to see XP stats on misses the last few years. I know we don't have a chance to get a kid like the Shanley kid who is heading to Stanford, but we need to address this. I can't believe we had better kickers in the D2 days.
  2. If Gwoz was willing to listen to a pitch, I'd bring him in.
  3. UND kicks around SIU, SIU kicks around NDSU, NDSU kicks around UND. It never makes sense.
  4. Kicked in the teeth, brush ourselves off and get ready for Youngstown. Time to include Quincy more? Open up the playbook again? Death to Bubba ball once and for all?
  5. I watched the Fargo media sandbag all week, and there wasn't even a flood.... And then this performance??
  6. Noland had almost as many interceptions as total completions. That shows how badly we got killed up front.
  7. Thats kind of where I'm at. I think the game being in Fargo gives them the win today. I'm always wrong, hopefully again.
  8. Holy blocker side 1st round draft pick.....
  9. Exactly. Twelve games over 3 days. Couldn't play the Class A ones out, but the Class B ones are fine.
  10. That line should live in the lore of UND history like the Hrkac Circus, the Money Line, DOT, Pony Express, CBS. They didn't blow people off the scoreboard, but my gosh were they an absolute shut down for whomever got to play against them. Having to deal with Pogo, Johnson, and Rhett all game would require the post game ice bath. The way they played against Michigan's CCM line (All in the NHL at the moment) was epic. Absolutely owned a 1st, 2nd, and 4th round pick that had put up over 190 points that season.
  11. I've got it! The Red River Rivalry!!!!!! Nobody will ever think of tha..... Ohhh.....I'll leave.
  12. I'm guessing that Scheel is back. But pretend he was wooed away by an NHL team wanting a big goaltender needing some depth after winning us #9. That would leave us with.....Maybe Thome.....probably would stay if Scheel left? Johnson, not having a terrible year in the NAHL.....and Feeney. Hedquist needs another year or two in the USHL. Hasn't exactly caught up quite yet, but he's 18 years old too, so he has time. Long story short, figure out a way to keep Scheel around for at least one more year. If he and Thome both were to leave we would be pretty thin in net. No worry goalie lineup next year: Scheel, Johnson, Feeney Kind of worry goalie lineup next year: Thome, Johnson, Feeney
  13. Bubbs is such good people its ridiculous. Bringing the students pizza before the games, talking to people on the street that others wouldn't give 10 seconds of their time too, taking the time to talk to youth teams around the state. Like or hate the decisions he makes as a coach, the guy is an all star human being.
  14. Agree with many of your points, but you've got to remember who has been the other d man playing with JBD in those situations. I just can't call him a distant third. Talent wise absolutely. I think you'd agree the kids with the most talent aren't always your best players I took your challenge! A kid I coached in high school hockey is married to the daughter of a former player/coach of UND. When he gets back to me and says JBD hands down I'll let everyone know!
  15. Is there a way you can get that to my wife without letting her know it was me who told you to give it to her?
  16. Distant third? Will agree to disagree on that one. NCHC first team defenseman. Almost a unanimous pick. I will agree that he doesn't have the talent of a JBD or a Sanderson. JBD rightfully the NCHC defensive defenseman of the year, but Kiersted finished second I believe.
