  1. I'm not saying that SDSU needs the game, but curious as to why the Men's team would play a home and home in the same season with UND. Is the Men's program having a more difficult time with scheduling?
  2. Are they really Playing at Texas Pan-Am in September...yesterday actually? It appears to be a decent schedule with some nice home games. Too bad they couldn't get a game with NDSU worked out.
  3. Haha...apparantly its ok for NDSU students to go shirtless while only wearing shorts, sit at center court and constantly harass the officials/line judges on every call against their team. But it's not ok for the UND swim team to show a little excitement. As an aside, I attend the match on Tuesday night as well as the match at NDSU last year. We happened to sit next to the Student section at the game in Fargo and if this guy thinks that UND has the only student fanbase that yells obnoxious or obscenity laced cheers towards other teams then he is sorely mistaken. I'm sure most of us have heard the "Sioux suck !#*$" chant more than we count. And there were others that were directed at our team last year as well. Btw, I thoroughly enjoyed both the matches the last two years. They were rivalry games and the atmosphere at both venues reflected it. EDIT: Also, the only "in unison" chant that I was able to make out from the student section was "Sweatty" in reference to the Bison players constantly delaying the game to wipe the floor. There may have been others, but I didn't hear them or could make them out.
  4. NDSU is actually hosting Iowa State on Friday and Saturday this weekend in Fargo. Iowa State is currently ranked #17 in the country I believe. Those games are being played in Bentson Bunker as well. I'm a bit surprised they wouldn't move those games to the BSA
  5. Thanks...wasn't sure if there was a way to center the court on the "fifty yard line" and make it work. Obviously the permanent stands would be a bit far from the court.
  6. Too lazy to look it up, but what is the capacity for Bball at the Alerus? If the Sioux-Bison game were played there, perhaps it would have a chance to be a record crowd although doubtful since the game is "meaningless" other than it being a rivalry game.
  7. Whoops...it was the quarterfinals I guess. Shows how closely I was paying attention to that game
  8. It would be pretty tough I would think. The old record was for a UND vs. Kansas game at the Ralph and Kansas has a ND boy starting for them. This game is also at the Ralph...don't know how many more people could fit. What is the "capacity" for Bball at the Ralph?
  9. My guess is he is referring to last year, when they lost to EWU in the FCS Semis...
  10. Just got back from the match. Great night of volleyball and a nice crowd at the Betty. NDSU has a solid and sweatty team and this was a big win for the Sioux program. Coach Hardee has done a fantastic job turning the program around. I don't know how long he will stick around but hopefully he will be here to lead the first Sioux team to an NCAA national tournament bid. Way to go ladies!
  11. Haha...I am playing a semi-finals game for my coed 4s sand team tonight at 6:00 pm. I am hoping we win (or lose) quick so I can make it to the game on time...speaking of which, I need to leave now so I make it to my game. Go Sioux...
  12. Yes to all of these...and they are playing against the "Blundering Terd." Looking forward to the match...
  13. Anyone else going to the game tonight? Should be a great game and great environment. I made the trip down to Fargo last year. If the Sioux win that first game, things may have turned out differently. Hopefully tonight turns out better!
  14. I guess that makes sense. But in doing so, it's allowing ND to stay independent (in football). At some point, if the B1G really wanted ND in their conference, wouldn't they encourage the opposite to take place?
  15. Ive seen this speculated in a few spots before but there is one thing I don't understand. Supposedly the B1G wants ND to join their conference for all sports but ND has thus refused. Why would the B1G then go ahead and help ND fill out their hockey schedule? It seems as though ND would benefit from that type of schedule more than the B1G schools. Why would the B1G go out of there way to help ND after ND continuously rejects a B1G invite? Is there something I'm missing here?
  16. I think you need to slow it down a bit in making that jump. Lots of things have to fall in place for just the hockey connection to the MAC to happen. You know the old saying "you need to crawl before you can walk and you need to walk before you can run"...or something along those lines. I know it's fun to think about what UND can be, but it's also fun to acknowledge where we are at and set realistic goals. Goals such as being competitive in the Big Sky and other conferences we are a part of and then moving on to winning Conference titles and being competitive at the National level. We have a long ways to go but some of the pieces are beginning to fall into place.
  17. So Al says "that day is not here yet" in regards to retiring the name. So when is that day here??? Once we are kicked out of the Big Sky and the list of schools that won't play us reaches triple digits? He says he doesn't want to harm UND...he's having a tough time making me believe that...
  18. Would this be your source... linky Hopefully we have a big crowd and hopefully the team gives them something to cheer for. Should be a fun environment...
  19. Here is the release for the 2011-2012 TV schedule. http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205102100&SPSID=58684&SPID=6405&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=13500&atclid=205243789 It appears as though the Men's basketball game will be held at the Ralph...
  20. All you need is just a little Patience
  21. Apparantly there has been an early commitment for the class of 2012. SFI is awaiting confirmation from it's source in the Twin Cities. Any ideas on who it is?
  22. I didn't catch that. According to the Vandals website, we are indeed playing at Idaho on that date. The post on Bisonville was from an email a season ticket holder received and it was a "Tentative" schedule. I would guess that the January 3rd game at Idaho would be correct. Hopefully we are still able to play the Bison.
  23. Not sure if it's been posted anywhere yet, but the NDSU game at home will be on Tuesday January 17th. Not sure of the location yet. EDIT: The hockey team is playing Minnesota in the Ralph the weekend before the bball game and is on the road to St. Cloud the following weekend. So it appears as though the Ralph would be available if they want to play it there.
  24. According to a post on Bisonville, the Bison are hosting UND on January 3rd. It's nice to see that both bball teams are once again scheduling each other.
