Looks like a Doctoral/Terminal degree is "Highly preferred." Candidates with an earned doctorate/terminal degree from an accredited institution of higher education will be highly preferred. The successful candidate should be committed to working effectively in a statewide system of higher education (North Dakota University System) and with a statewide governing board (State Board of Higher Education).

I haven't read the qualifications for the position, but does Mr. Purpur even qualify? I'd assume they are looking for someone with their doctorate?

Thanks for the corrections as I was quickly trying to find info. Looks like their DI football record going into this year was 117-30. The Bison have shown that they are the team to beat in FCS, essentially since they've joined. There isn't a whole lot else they can do at this level. How long will their fan base stay interested in FCS football if they continue to "dominate" like they have been doing?

What else does the football team have to prove at the FCS level? Since becoming playoff eligible in 2009 (six years), they've won the championship 4 times, working on a fifth, and made the semi finals in the other year. There overall record in that time is 77-10 with something like 8 fbs wins. If they were located closer to some of the G5 conferences, they would most likely be receiving interest to move up from those conferences.

Looks like one of the preferred qualifications is "experience recruiting southern states." Did Lennon do a lot if that while at SIU?

Well they do show the Ralph, clips of hockey games, and the Sioux nickname was the name for all athletic teams of UND. I'm a fan of the hockey team, have been for the better part of 35 years (I'm now 41) so I have nothing against the hockey program. I just think this documentary may gain more support if it featured more than just hockey fans/REA. Granted I don't know what else will be in the film, but the short clip certainly focused on REA/Hockey...just saying.

I applaud your efforts, but personally I'd like to see focus on all UND athletic sporting events. The only sport shown in the trailer involves UND Hockey or The REA. Will footage of other UND sports be shown in the movie as well?

Yes. The football team survived losing Golloday, amongst others when Muss was fired. Watching a Jones coached bball team is as frustrating as watching a Muss coached Bball team. I'm done complaining now, and done watching. I'll start paying attention when UND decides to take its bball program seriously again.

Jones gets a Technical complaining about the foul on Drickstine. That's a foul every time. Jones should of used his time coaching Drickstine to not leave his feet instead of complaining to the official.

I fully expected us to lose this game. The sad part is that we didn't even show up. The team hasn't given the crowd anything to get excited about. It would be nice to at least be competitive for a half to give the home crowd a glimmer of hope. This one was over by the 10 minute mark. I know we are a young team but there are just so many fundamentals that are lacking right now...which is a signature of Jones coached teams. Just tough to watch.

Very embarrassing. Unfortunately we play in one of the worst basketball conferences in DI meaning Jones will probably get this team to .500 in conference which Faison will then reward him by giving him an extension.

Losing by 30+ in the first half at home...not pretty at all.

If that's the case, what a bunch of BS. All the committee would've needed to do is have two brackets done and choose the one based on the outcome of UND's game.
