  1. Duncan winning the Hobey Opening of the REA Or are you limiting it to on-ice moments?
  2. In that same vein, Michigan losing to BU in '97 worked out pretty well for Blais.
  3. Jack Edwards is awesome, obviously, because he calls Bruins games on NESN. Not trying to turn this into a Bruins thread...really...I'm not. On a side note...during one of NESN's broadcasts of "The Instigators" this past year, Jack went on a mini-rant about how he thought the Fighting Sioux logo was the best in college hockey and how it was a crying shame we had to give it up. Loved it!
  4. The question is do the boys have what it takes to pick him up. He's the reason they're here. If only we could've turned the early 2nd period pressure into a 2-2 game...
  5. It seems like every year it's about "business." Screw that...I wish they'd focus on having fun.
  6. The thing is, Zane has bailed this team out all season. Time for our big guns on offense to pick him up. We just suck at putting the puck in the net.
  7. My only hope now is they're sandbagging for the 8th spot and the Metropolitan bracket. Gotta avoid Montreal!
  8. Ok...I didn't pay that much attention. At least there's precedent.
  9. We got really, really sick of eating at the same places during the Final Five for four straight years! Didn't quite work the 4th time.
  10. Yes...on GAME DAY. We can't have you change it up and start it a day early. Just try not to get suspended before then...
  11. They just sell their tickets to more BU fans...at ridiculously high prices.
  12. The "log jam" behind Rask may not be as solid as it seems. Both Subban and Svedberg have shown a tendency to be up-and-down with their play. I guess one could blame that on youth, but there was some talk of Subban being moved near the trade deadline. The Bruins could be considered "rich" at goalie, and I wouldn't put it past them to move one of those guys to bolster the roster in other areas - especially if they feel Zane has long-term potential.
  13. Just curious what the percentages are without Mac...that's the relevant stat. Regardless, it will certainly be important to start plays with possession against a skilled team like BU.
  14. Realistically it has been like this since December.
  15. Stecher actually shot it into another Sioux player and it led to the 2-on-1.
  16. I sure hope they can get it together, but the year one to year two "improvements" are hardly visible. I was pretty upset that it took 20 minutes to get through the lobby and into the game. The TSA screening was a bit over the top. As for the game experience, I cant understand why they don't use the fascia scoreboard to display the score and game time like every other arena in the country. It was odd having to look up to the center-hung scoreboard all the time. I think my favorite part of the game was the Mountain Dew chugging contest.
  17. This is correct. I just called the Pourhouse and they said minors are allowed until 10PM.
  18. IIRC, MN played early as the top seed at the X last year, but we played the late game in Cincy vs 1 seed Wisconsin. The eastern regionals both had the 1 seeds playing the early game. It's probably partially up to ESPN and who they want to televise on the networks vs streaming on ESPN3.
  19. Checking in to downtown hotel tomorrow afternoon!
  20. They haven't exactly lit the world on fire in conference tourneys held in their own backyard. Maybe a road trip to Michigan will be good for them?
  21. Ahh, yes, the wristbands. Forgot about that. Glad to see they're keeping the same re-entry policy this year.
  22. You do not have to leave between games, there is only one ticket for each daily session. Last year we were able to get scanned out, grab a bite to eat, then scan back in for the second game. I'm hoping their re-entry policy is the same this year.
