Great response from offense. D need to roll the dice and take chances. Either we give a big play for TD and have a chance to go on a game winning drive to win or we force a turnover and go up two scores.

YSU has beef to to limit our O-line push, however their pass rush is very very average.

Yeah, it does. What sucks is we are winning the turnover battle and yet we find a way to play pourous defense on the road.

Looking at this, our defense is that of a 2-6 team and how they are attacking our run it’s like they are 5-2 team. They are getting the stalemates up from and we are getting bullied.

Who ever has the ball for the last 6 min. of game will win it., check that….We need to score the last with no time left.

This is reminding me when Easern Washington rushed over 400 on us Schmitty’s last year with us.

He is a sophomore and apparently that fits the bill too. We got good athletic big linemen finally, how many years will it take to get 3-4 300lbers and consistent twitchy edge rushers.

I am sort of feeling negative, I know we may make adjustments like we have done in the past. However, until we get some quicker stronger/bigger dudes on defense we will be stuck as a 2nd tier team in the Valley.

Too much grabbing, and poor angles. Not sure if we have a scheme for a running qb. Maybe we do but our fundamentals on defense sucks right now.

Having a strong D helps a lot to win road games. Our Big Sky champion team had a fairly solid D and finished 9-2, unfortunately we crapped the bed in the 2nd half in the playoffs. Since then the defense started to get worse, coincidentally so has our road record.

This maybe a one score game, dependent on offensive efficiency and if we can get YSU off the field. Their style is similar to ours when relating to time of possession. I think they are one of the leaders in FCS. If we can get up early we should win, if down early not sure how many possessions we get if they control the ball. One good thing is this is their 3rd straight top 10 game and they may have some players not at a 100 percent.

What happens a lot I think is, a kid being offered more. Team A offers 80,000 NIL and kid verbally commits and then Team B offers 150,000. So kid decommits and commits to 2nd school.
