  1. What I could find is if a team is not too good defensively or gives up too much in transition, it is a way for them ton get back and be in better position.
  2. That was my thinking, former NFL player helping coach is a good thing
  3. https://wisportsheroics.com/green-bay-packers-brandon-bostick-north-dakota/ Looks like another coach on staff.
  4. Irish cannot get the pass game is nonexistent (offense wasn’t overly powerful the week before). Irish need to disguise what they are doing on defense. Man coverage their overall speed lacking and if covered no one on QB for scrambling. Hopefully we will have an exciting finish.
  5. 2 plays that were huge first half was parting of the Red Sea on the long run by Miller. I may be like Mongo but not having a man on Miller was either a poor call or poor communication on defense. The failed 4th down at midfield gave NDSU a short field with several timeouts to score. Playmakers make plays in big games, MSU had their one especially 2nd half, SU had Miller and Lance make big plays. Hopefully we can find that heading to next Fall.
  6. I did like 360 comment on Schmidt looking at current roster saying this is not good enough. We need to get better. Way better than hearing the lack of execution after games. (Maybe that was Bubba’s way of saying we don’t have the athletes to make those plays) Excited to see how Spring goes and additions we make (as 360 said kids may hit portal on defensive side especially our plethora linebackers)
  7. I would agree, though getting beat on 4th and long in 1st OT, deflated ASU’s momentum. My Raiders in their last playoff game gave up a TD when officials had an inadvertent whistle right before half. Despite that they still had a chance to beat Cincy……I will not bring up the Tuck game.
  8. If I would guess about targeting no call, is that his face was up and not leading with crown. That could be reason not wanting to have that play affect outcome of game.
  9. Texas offense did not do too much for the game, both soft play from Texas O-line and the aggressiveness of ASU. Texas D made several huge stops. ASU was close to breaking when Texas had a 16 point lead. The HB pass changed that momentum Big Time.
  10. It is also a good example of a better team, not putting a team away, can put themselves in a dog fight when the other team starts to believe they can win in the second half.
  11. We had 4 on roster last fall, I do not think we lost any, we signed one on signing day, and picked up another in the portal. I do believe we have six, that could change this Spring.
  12. Jacks had six to start the year. 1 SR, 2 JR, the other three were freshmen or redshirt freshmen. Granted they were the defending champs. USD 2 juniors and 2 frosh. NDSU 4. If I would guess, need better competition, fit what is to be run and anticipating possible transfers.
  13. Found them on athletic.net, Red ran a 10.84 in April while out for track.
  14. 10.83 PR in in 100 meter, 22.19 PR in 200 in track In High School

  16. I think Schmidt sees what we all see, we need better athletes, build more team depth and get rid of complacency. I also think he feels the same with staff, where coaches need not only passion but the want to get better at their profession. I like so far what he is trying to do.
  17. Hopefully someone who can lead, make game changing plays, and make those around him play better!
  18. Yes, his meet his junior year was a let down. I believe he quit football and hoops to focus on throwing. He practiced summer, fall and winter because he wanted to be great. I was surprised UND was able to keep him signed after his state meet. I’ve seen many state meets, and I never saw young man (Nabwe on girls side is relatable) do what he was able to do at that high level in all 3 events.
  19. Saw him compete at State, very, very nice kid and a very talented in the throws. Very much a student of throwing technique.
  20. Instead of whipping sh!ties on their field, we can lay some ferocious Schmidty Sh!ties and knock their guys hard to the ground.
  21. What I see with Schmidt is that he expects his coaches to adhere to his beliefs. If you are not committed to with 12 months a year you will not be retained. I can see a few stay and possibly one moved to recruiting coordinator.
  22. Just looking at Schmitty’s demeanor, he not would not be just a coach to play for, but a coach to die for. Hopefully the staff he gets will land the recruits we need and develop them them into the players they can both win the Dakotas and win it all.
  23. I would imagine Schmidt dictated his wants and needs while being courted. If so there should be positive and impactful changes within the structure of North Dakota Football.
  24. I do want to see Schmidt show some fire to the Dakota school coaches, like he did to the UC Davis QB in the D2 playoffs his senior year!
