If and I mean IF, we can frustrate their run game and somehow with home field advantage we can get a one or 2 score lead. We can make it close, if not we will lose by 4 scores. Their defense is salty, offense needs long TD drives.! This could have been an upset possibility if we won both road games. It could have been rockin like NDSU last year at home.

They may be getting a little better of athlete because of their move to FBS. ISU blue good wideout was FBS drop down. bringing some to fill gaps I’m for (Montana last year), wholesale acquisition may affect chemistry and game work ethic/effort lacking (Murray State).

85 to 105 I think for 25-26 season. NIL can also be used for walk-ons as well I believe.

Maybe we are still ranked so Montana could hang on to a quality loss.

4 Outcomes after this year I see 1) Bubba age 62 retires which I wish he does (odds are no) 2) gets fired (too much money) 3) let go defensive coordinator and maybe one or to other coaches (most likely) - if this happens odds he will promote Dosch (I hope he does not promote within) - ideally some new coordinator/staff, if this happens, I hope with NFL or Upper FCS or FBS experience. Then they should recruit athletes needed for D1 4) I can’t fathom staff remains in tact. I stress the players have not quit, they are giving their all, staff (defensive side especially) is not putting them in situations for success. The problem is either coaching (scheme and or fundamentals) and or recruiting. Once again players are playing with effort.

Radio is making excuses about d-line injuries etc. Schmidt’s last year a D coordinator he had to put true freshman in (I think we gave up 400 yards rushing against EWU) (maxed out 4 games) because of all the injuries and despite that we battled all year until the Nichols State fiasco.

After that first down play, call timeout and asked players do want to score or run time off clock. Give them ownership on that series. But as others have said …

We don’t get FBS transfers (not saying whole scale acquisition) we for what ever reason we refuse to get defensive size and or linebacker athleticism. That saved Montana’s season last year.

If there is a positive it is a noon kickoff, which is similar home games. Seriously it will come down to the trenches. O-Line needs way better push than last week. D-Line need to limit their push up front. Cannot let one dude abuse us like last week, we need someone to stand out in the interior and ILB on D, not just one play a game but at least one play per offensive series.

If UNI put up 35 on Mo St, maybe we can have a defense. However the best defense is if we can some how ger an2-3 score lead and make their offense more predictable…..check that we did that at home and were still forced into OT. I do hope we can be physical (both sides we did not do that last week) in the trenches and not embarrass ourselves with the QB run/scramble game. We do this we should win.
