Well the offense is laying an egg. Defense needs to get a TO for a score. Or get a block punt to set up a score. The offense is reminding me of 2018 UNA all over again.

The death of me this year is becoming the pass coverage (which is obvious) but the high snaps are kills the rhythm of the offense and usually another obstacle to proper execution of the play.

31-30 North Dakota. Seems like many of our home games are fairly close. Especially against ranked teams.

My thought is, if the staff is competent with our QB depth then it would make sense that the QB will run the ball more. Last year I think the staff wasn’t too sure on that and that may have been one reason for not wanting the scrambling and Tommy running the ball.

I cannot imagine that they would not. Even back when I played in the 90’s, there were two plays called and the QB would call play as part of cadence or screen would be audible option.

My thoughts, Talent is great, but getting players character guys, guys willing to work and get better are important. Guys willing to play hard and do will give their all whether up by 20 or down by 20 go along ways and that helped stabilize the program since Muss has left. Our line play needs to continue to improve, depth is getting better. Now we need a few gamers, we are getting that with our RB’s. Missouri State showed what speedy receivers can do, if we can get one or have one stand out, to compliment our out her receivers we are close to being great. This has been frustrating season, how this team finishes and who stays will dictate the immediate future.

Bum Phillips said plays don’t win games; players do, he later added coaches need to call plays that players can understand and execute. We are lacking this (plays guys can understand and execute) at times. And this game showed it.

I agree focus on the now! Missouri State and the rest of the season. Some people are making Otis being at a high school game being as bad as getting a minor or DUI.

Caleb place 3rd in shot and disc in class B State Meet last year. When watching the state meet he looked like an athletic kid.
