Since I first heard of the plan to charge for parking, I have been trying to figure out what my best plan of action is. I have season tickets, and intend to be at every game (like every year). I am all for shuttles, but the bummer is that I live near the mall, so I will end up driving past the Alerus on my way to campus to avoid paying for parking. It seems inefficient. I don't know if any establishments plan on running shuttles, but I will probably end up spending more than $5 there, and would be better off just paying for each game. I would like to see an opportunity to get a paid pass that covers all football games so I don't have to find $5 each game (I don't usually carry a lot of cash). That might be wishful thinking, though. Any brilliant ideas?

I agree with you and with the logic that a good leader is a good leader regardless of the degree they hold, but I just have a feeling that the politics involved with hiring a position as high profile as university president (pleasing all stakeholders, particularly academia) will win over any logical selections. At least that's what I have seen in the last seven years of working within higher education.

I asked Chorney if he had signed any "Me So Chorney" signs yet, and both he and Watkins couldn't believe that such signs existed, until not even 2 minutes later, 4 gals arrived with a "Me So Chorney" sign asking for a photo. I don't know if Taylor knew exactly how to react--he seemed both honored and embarrassed. Watkins gave him quite a bit of grief about it though.

I'm at the Drury Inn & Suites Convention Center. It's not the closest to the arena, but it's only 1 block from the light rail station (which stops right in front of the arena), about 2 blocks from Lacledes Landing (supposed to be cool), about 3 blocks from the arch. Most importantly, I am staying there because it offers a free hot breakfast each morning and a managers reception with free cocktails/beer each night.

I am going!!!!!! I was in the lottery (Section 325, Row Q...not sure I can get any more nosebleed, but it's the FF!!!!), and reserved a hotel a couple months ago. I am staying at the Drury Inn Convention Center. It's fairly close to the Arch and Laclede's Landing (supposedly a hot spot), and only 1 block from the metrolink to take me to the Arena. And according to the website, has free hot breakfast. Yeah! I am all about a SS.com get-together. I wasn't able to attend the breakfast at the Final Five, but will be in for this. Holy crap! Ever since I found out I got tickets to the FF I have been so worried that I jinxed the Sioux and that they wouldn't make it. I am planning on driving down with a friend. I had originally thought about spending all of Wed. driving, but kind of want to take in all of the fun Wednesday evening, too. Have they always done the "Frozen Four Face-off Welcome Reception"? $75 seems a little steep. I think I am still too giddy from the win, and may make some rash decisions.
