  1. It was sad to see any sports go but it makes sense based on the facilities and the weather. Frankly I'm surprised we still have softball.
  2. You'd probably have about 90% of the fanbase on board with the name (lame as it may be) If any of these were the actual logo.
  3. They said they wanted to avoid a Saturday game. Fine by me, so why not a home and away series?
  4. I'm not saying Perron didn't deserve a penalty, but Krugg initiated that conflict, held/tackled Perron as well, and then arguably charged Thomas.
  5. That's kind of creepy that you know what plates he had...
  6. It may not be a sport per say, but this is good news for UND Aerospace. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/1351104-UND-Flying-Team-wins-nationals-for-first-time-since-2010
  7. I'm sure he has recieved several calls. Despite what philly fans and press think he did fairly well there. I personally think he's avoiding long term contracts to see what happens to Berry next year.
  8. I thought @MafiaMan was the one who had to approve grammar related comments :-D
  9. Shouldn't these non-und WIH posts be in some other thread? Under other sports or something?
  10. I know several faculty on both sides of the political aisle that likely cheered. MK made few friends at UND and it has more to do with his lack of tact, transparency, and just general leadership than it does budget cuts. People can understand budget cuts. However he did so with the grace of a blind surgeon using a rusty machete who ignored everything his nurses told him.
  11. You guys are looking at this all wrong. We need to get coaches with the same name as Notre Dame coaches. Find some other guy named Mike Brey. Then when they are recruiting they can just say, "hey I'm coach Brey from UND..."
  12. Given the pessimism I frequently see in this page, it will probably be replaced by "Fire coach..." after their first loss.
  13. Nice try ISIS, but military members can't publicly support or oppose any party or politician.
  14. Leadership and integrity. Well I'd like to nominate myself. As a now twice graduate (well, come may) of UND, both of Aerospace I clearly have a tie to the University. I'm a Captain, so I have leadership experience (hopefully my airmen agree it's been good). In the Air Force, we are taught integrity first as a core value. Also, I'm only 30 so I'm not aged! As a bonus, with my tie to UND aerospace and Air Force officer experience, I'm basically President Clifford. Only thing is, I still owe the Air Force 2 years. But that shouldn't be a problem as senior administrators can telework according to President Kennedy.
  15. Lol. That would be some pretty bleak writing on the wall for Berry.
  16. That's a steep climb for them but I'd love to see it happen.
  17. Well unrelated to coaching changes, but I brought my wife and six year old daughter to GF for the first time and we did a tour of the Ralph. I think my daughter's favorite parts were staring/salivating at the hockey players in their gym and the 2 men's basketball players we saw playing at the Betty.
  18. Yes teams. Not just WIH although they are the only one most people seem to care about.
  19. I think it's sad that this thread basically still exists so people can go off on the twins, Brad or anyone who is even mildly sympathetic to the cut teams. Congrats. You won, if cutting a team can be considered winning.
  20. I thought they were Atlantic Hockey officials
  21. Do the resident halls still do their annual cardboard boat race in the Coulee?
  22. Yeah. Realistically it's a major flaw in how they they do the bracket.
  23. All Minnesota teams are great at choking. I think it's something in our lake water.
  24. Maybe they were just giving away their leftovers? By..throwing them at people...yeah that must be it
