game blacked out on ESPN3?? BS

I love the scheduling of Nebraska.....a P5 team with a school whose fanbase loves football. hell....BRING ON BAMA.....(for $750k or better anyway).....These big money FBS games are needed to fund the program, but does anyone have any idea what kind of money these schools make from a home game??? Like Nebraska is paying us 515k in 2022, what are they as a school netting for having a home game? I mean Nebraska home games are guaranteed 90,000 at even $50 avg ticket price for a sum of 4.5 million before concessions...

Maag, Slater, Bruner, Siegel are my favs of this class so far, but c'mon let's get a quality scholly QB!!! I understand a scholly QB isn't relevant if Boltmann is a stud, but I'd rather have a backup plan. If you recruit a scholarship QB every year, you realistically would only need to hit on a QB like 1 in every 3 years, and worst case, you got better QB play because the backups are always pushing the starter.

I was just thinking.....As stacked as we are at RB, would be nice to see a RB commit this year, after all, somebody's got to be the man in 2020-2022. Edit: I know it's just an offer (also saw he had one from Idaho) and not sure if they are recruiting as an RB, but looks like a heck of an athlete, always nice to see offers out and hopefully commitments following. Only 3 (Adeoti, Blubaugh, Shannon) of the 2017 HS recruits played this year (unless I'm missing someone), and none of them were necessarily regarded as the best recruits of their class. So I would say that this past season is no indicator of how that class stacks up. At the time of signing, I feel like many people thought that 2017 was Bubba's best recruiting class thus far. And as far as the 2016 class, I think you could argue both sides good/bad, but to say that many of them did not even show flashes doesn't seem like an accurate assessment to me. 2015 I would say had a lot more misses, and 2014, well looks bad. So to me our classes have been getting better and better. Let's hope it shows in 2018.

I never heard they were actually promised a ring and then never got one. If true, that is even worse.

I would have thought the way the whole team/staff blew the Richmond game would have given some serious motivation to make 2017 a total redemption season. If I was a player I would have thought this would have stuck in my mind more than not getting a ring. If you want a ring so bad let's go win a natty. P.S. I do think they should have tried to raise the funds with outside sources if its been customary to give out conference champion rings for FB, they could of did a sponsor a ring or something and probably raised the money, but let's face it, we just cut a lot of sports programs, do you think those student athletes of those programs give a !@#$ the FB team didnt get rings.

When he committed I thought DE Carl Engwall was gonna be a good get for us, I think he's been banged up most of the time since he got here, or maybe he's just stuck behind the depth or isn't that good. I am excited for the DL trio of Seguin, Ott, and Morrison. Would be nice for some of our better recruits to force themselves onto the field at a young age simply because they are that talented.

2017: 18 sacks 17 QB Hurries 2016: 24 sacks 36 QB Hurries (excludes Playoff game)

Am I upset about this season? Hell yeah I am. Am I giving up on this team? Hell no I'm not. Even with the Youth/Injuries I still felt our offense had the talent to score 30 PPG against the typically mediocre defenses we play. We didn't seem to make any adjustments when things weren't going right, bottom line, you gotta get your best players the ball in positions they can succeed. If the OL isn't opening holes, Santiago isn't going to hammer out any, but maybe JJ or Brady could at least plunge forward to get 3 yards to keep 3rd downs manageable. I think that's why people are all aboard the Fire Rudolph train, we still expected more out of the offense. I'm hoping this was just the perfect storm where everything that can go wrong went wrong, and is just an anomaly when we are looking back 5-10 years from now. I hold this team to FCS championship expectations, I did going into this year, I still do going into next year. Let's get everybody healed and bulked up, look into adjustments we can make, and go fill out the rest of our recruiting class while not forgetting about those already committed. Hoping for some good gets yet, hopefully a scholly QB. Also, with all the injuries it seemed like our defense went ultra conservative, but when we still chose to be aggressive wasn't our defense playing better?? e.g, Northern Colorado, Portland St, 2nd half EWU... Is this just something in my head or anyone else notice this??

DL was the cream of the crop in last years recruiting class, so very nice to hear they are looking good.

Speaking of DL recruits, anyone heard how guys like Ott, Morrison, Seguin have looked in practice?

Per Tom Miller.... UND football has received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-5 TE/DE Ryan Schoenfelder of Goodhue, Minn. The next UND TE who won't be thrown at?? Or another addition for the DLine?

Not really feasible probably, but I'd be interested in Freund calling plays using rudolphs playbook for rest of the year....would be a hell of a way to evaluate Rudolph. Lol

Wow, that's crazy to think that Michigan's student section is 1/3 to 1/2 their enrollment. But is it fair to compare an FCS to an FBS program? How do we stack up compared to other FCS programs?? In overall attendance and students attendance.

Might be in or en route to MSP for the game Saturday, what are the options for radio coverage there? And streaming while I'm asking.

I was somehow able to stay optimistic throughout the Mussman years, if I could do it then, I can do it now. Thank God there is beer at the games.

Was at the game and didnt really see anyone that was trying to get everyone else going, more so a lot of dejected and tired guys out there. After last year we should have known they were going to come out and try to punch us right in the face and we still didnt look ready for it. I think how we react to this game and play Saturday will be more telling of this team than last week. These are just my opinions and I obviously could have missed something.

Prediction: we will overreact to a loss, and be unsatisfied with a win.

Just re watching the game and saw this play. There was a defender coming right up the middle and Santiago made a nice pickup to allow Studsrud to shift over and even make the throw at all.
