  1. I went back and found the part in the 360 Podcast in early January where they mentioned 6 QB's they thought we might have interest in. Two are now "gone" (Graetz, Riley Kinney) The four that remain: Walker Kinney 6'3" 215# Stilwell, KS - Pretty good runner, has or had offers from WIU and SDSU Jayden Johannsen 6'2" 200# Sioux Falls, SD - Believe NDSU offered PWO Hayden Ekern 6'2" 200# St. Rita HS (Chicago), IL - originally committed to Montana St. this summer, but they rescinded his offer after coaching changes Matt Campbell 6'5" 215# Fort Scott, KS - Good size, has some touch, but probably more of a project, played some TE Freund follows the last 3 on twitter, doesn't follow Kinney.
  2. I'm going to wait until the kid actually commits somewhere before reacting. His likes would most likely mean it's not a good chance, but who knows what the kid is actually thinking. If he signs elsewhere so be it. I'm sure Danny has Plans B,C, and D at this point. Maybe with Danny overseeing QB recruiting we land a big time 2020 QB recruit and the 2019 recruit is a moot point. All we can do is hope for the best. Also would still love Nelson or Pierre to commit, they'd be very nice additions.
  3. Just offered Graetz per his Twitter. Must at least have a chance if he tweeted it??
  4. From the FB360 site "The first official recruiting weekend of the 2019 “second season” will be on January 26th." hopefully we can get some of the final pieces of this class committed. I'd expect at least one QB to be on campus. Should give us a better idea of who we are still actively targeting anyway.
  5. we've offered a bunch of his HS classmates (Folsom, CA), maybe we can get a group discount. Bring this guy, Caleb Nelson (DB), Chandon Pierre (DE/LB), and Joe Wagner (OL) in.....
  6. Who can blame the kid, Texas State did wonders the last time it landed a big time QB recruit. Anybody else remember how good Paul Blake was?

    2019 Season

I agree....I said my biggest concern with QB play.....not my biggest concern is QB play. I think a capable 2019 QB is definitely on the roster already. Morrison might be a damn good NG, but that's a position you need to be 2-3 deep at. I'm still hoping for juco drop-down plus Kyle Atkinson out of Burnsville.

    2019 Season

I've seen the Hudl and some of the weight lifting videos/#'s of his......I'm just excited to see this kid play at any position.

    2019 Season

My biggest concern with QB play is WHY did #8's play deteriorate so badly? Was he being coached in a way that held back his best qualities?? Was he given the best coaching possible, but just lacks something?? Either way let the best player play at each and every position. And if there's no NG additions, what are we even looking at?? Morrison playing 60 snaps a game? Who else is even behind him?
  10. So if I call fair catch and wait 5 yards behind the ball.....then at the last second run up...the punting team has to stand like 7 yards away from me?? PR really misjudged the ball, I don't know what the rule says but shouldn't be penalized for the mistakes of the other team IMO.....either way SDSU could've still not let them score.
  11. From the 360 guys December 14th Still 4 big names out there (2 DB, 1 LB and an “athlete”) that UND is waiting to hear from for this 2019 class that have been offered and officially visited campus. So who are the 4?? My guess is Samuel Fort, Jermari Harris, Jackson Martens, and Caleb Nelson??
  12. Damn....this guy would've been a hog addition. 6'7 310.
  13. I think this is who you are talking about. We offered a little while back. Decided to PWO at Illinois
  14. Definitely can't hurt that he's going to be surrounded by guys who have already committed. I like this idea of having a bunch of the commits get together, hopefully make/build on some friendships and further strengthen their ties to the program.
  15. to UNDBIZ: would depend some on what sport is his passion, track & field or football, for Atkinson. Wiki has us at 22 commits, someone earlier said Ray Haas was coming back(??), didn't the 360 guys say they thought we would be under 20 commits for this class?? As much as I love getting new commits rolling in (there's still a half dozen or so that we've offered that I'd love to see come in), is there a point where it looks like we would be losing some guys that are currently on the roster? What's the max number for this class without losing anyone? I understand the fact that maybe they are just overshooting it by 1-2 as we have lost a couple guys on signing day last couple years.
  16. Any of the coaches making their rounds by the Twin Cities? Can't hurt to check in with Evan Hull (still dreaming)....but also Kyle Atkinson DT from Burnsville. He'd fill a big gap in this class. just check out the first play on his highlight film...https://www.hudl.com/profile/6861026/Kyle-Atkinson
  17. Is there any logic behind NDSU fans complaining about their side of the bracket other than ignorance that JMU and SDSU are the teams that have been able to beat them?? None of them would ever consider EWU, Weber, Maine, UC Davis might be better. Instead they got Colgate who they definitely won't respect, and maybe won't need too...JMU wasn't same team this year. Kennesaw who is triple option I believe? They dominate those teams. And SDSU who they've got a good game plan against and consistently beat in the playoffs. Yep....tough half of the bracket.
  18. Coming for a visit next weekend per his Twitter.
  19. With Rudy gone and me just guessing that Freund will call plays from the sidelines, that opens up a spot up in the box. Maybe bubba should manage games from up top.
  20. I also like that Skokna flipped. Definitely brings that elite athleticism that we are lacking.
  21. For possibly something else to talk about. We have lost a couple recruits on/around signing day and you never know what role the coaching situation will play with recruits. Who are your Top 5 recruits that you definitely hope sign on signing day? Link to SS list: 2019 commits 1. Cedric Case QB - probably on everyone's list 2. Chrysten Cochran WR - Speed we need 3. Billy Riviere TE - highly rated, need to replace Fiedler and Cloyd gonna be a SR 4. Elijah Beach DE - always need DL, like his size 5. Josh Navratil LB - good athlete with RB background
  22. Yeah let's just cut the entire FB program.....Would you at least agree that we are in a lose-lose situation because nothing was done after last season?
  23. Right.... because I clearly said I wanted him to stay that long. Clearly we weren't going to pay to have him gone and I understand why so I'm willing to at least start with a new OC (and OL coach) and re-evaluate next year.
  24. Bubba might be a good coach in a lot of aspects, he loves this University, and is a hell of a guy, BUT I'm starting to doubt he has a good feel for making in game decisions. It's like he always has that "oh !@#$" look on his face like he didn't prepare for this situation ( 4th down decisions, QB Change?, Etc). Even though I'm sure he's prepared for them, it just seems like he can't make the right decision at game speed. I'm guessing he's not going anywhere this year and I'm content with that, but if no other coaching changes are made I'm dropping 2 of my season tickets and will still go to some games, but I won't be able to buy into this team fully again.
