  1. I get that they had seven turnovers, but the ISU qb had some absolute headscratchers. I think Tommy takes better care of the ball, and I think Holinka dials up some pressure to get after the qb. Too often, ISU only rushed 4 and gave their young kid all day to throw.
  2. Going outside the box, but I'm going to predict a Hawks shutout. 24-0 for the Good Guys, defense forces 3+ turnovers and the Weah/Skokna combo rush for 200+ yards.
  3. I believe in-person visits aren't allowed yet by the NCAA, but there are always those "unofficial" visits like the Moorhead boys.
  4. I'd love to put a pedometer on Skokna. That man is all over the field - tons of pre-snap motion, running routes out of the backfield, out wide, taking reverses. He's pretty dynamic.
  5. My fault, misread the turnover stat. 3 forced fumbles, 3 recovered, and 1 pick. The other turnovers must've been turnover on downs.
  6. I took a look at their game on Sunday. Not great at rushing the football, their leading rusher had 35 yards on 16 carries. They have a very good pass block and try to move the ball down the field. Small receivers, but they are quick and find openings in zone coverage. Their QB is shifty and accurate, will scramble but is more than willing to hang in the pocket, so rush lanes have to be sound. There are big play opportunities against their defense, and their secondary bites a on a lot of runs and pump fakes, so play action and double moves are open. ISU gashed their defense on the ground too, 186 total rushing yards, but fumbled three times (yeesh). USD DL had five sacks. Interesting to note, Illinois State also blocked a USD field goal. edit: update on number of fumbles
  7. Most are masked up in their seat as well, and I will say I'm pretty pleased with how socially distanced everything and everyone is. At the expense of attendance, yes, but if we're talking about just spectator safety and nothing else with else, they do set it up well.
  8. Agreed, I never liked the screech either.
  9. Sort of just thought of this, but did anybody hear the hawk screech after first downs and TDs? I can't remember hearing any.
  10. 23-17 UND wins it in OT
  11. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4324402-und-ramping-branding-alerus-center here's some more stuff we'll see at the Alerus on Saturday. Getting excited!
  12. I think part of that is because the game wasn't all that close. Had it been more competitive, maybe we would have seen more enthusiasm from the crowd
  13. I just voted and we took the lead
  14. 28-17
  15. The Al is finally making UND football their priority and I couldn't be happier
  16. I saw him back in there later in the fourth quarter
  17. Need the o-line to step up. I understand the opponent, but they need to perform better if we're going to have a shot this year
  18. I was pretty wrong
  19. Offense will answer here
  20. Most important second half adjustment to me is missed tackles. It was ridiculous how many extra yards they got after the first man got to the ball
  21. If we can go into halftime in a one score game... watch out
  22. I know it's the PAC 12 network, but a little impartiality would be nice from the announcers
  23. Broadcasters on the Pac12 Network named Guy and Yogi....
  24. You can download the app onto your laptop and hook that up to your tv through the HDMI cord if nothing else works
