  1. Looks like we lost a recruit, Thomas Gibson headed to Winona State.
  2. Found the answer to my own question, it will be eight years old when we join the MVFC in 2020... The wear and tear probably won't be a cause for replacement, but I'd guess the cost to switch out all the outdated logos would be nearly as pricey as buying a new one. Purely an assumption, however
  3. Would LOVE to finally see a midfield logo on the turf. Anybody know how old the turf would be when we joined MVFC? Old enough to justify a replacement? Especially with the Big Sky and outdated Alerus logos on it.
  4. Gotta commend the kid for sticking to his original commitment. After losing Seguin already, I'm sure this coaching staff and recruiters have done all they can to hold on to Ott.
  5. A reminder too that the Alerus Center's highest attended game in 2016 wasn't to a Big Sky opponent, or even the playoff game. It was to South Dakota. Point is, sure there may have been more visiting fans than a Big Sky game, but that's the point. In the MVFC, travel is easier, and old rivalries are back. I'm in.
  6. COINCIDENCE??? I don't think so.
  7. There will be opportunities to see UND play against Denver in hoops... if that is any consolation
  8. Think you got this backwards
  9. Excited about the MVFC competition Not too excited about the Summit competition
  10. Anybody heard anything on the medical redshirt for Clive?
  11. I know lots of people have come out against fighting in hockey, but jeez... we used to play such a physical brand of hockey, but we got our asses handed to us physically last night.
  12. Absolutely. It's a great way to show the passion that the community has for its sports teams.
  13. I know they took the recruits to the hockey game last weekend... on Saturday, so they were saved from seeing the 5 goal third period and got to see a win instead!
  14. I could watch this highlight tape five times over. Great tackler, great pursuit.
  15. I think the best part of this sketch is the Hawk's eye. It's got that same intensity as Brien's Sioux head.
  16. From a pretty credible source: Hankey is seriously considering playing baseball in college
  17. Highlights of the newest commit
  18. http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20170111102553175498204&ref=rec&tm=&src=FCS STATS lists UND as "Top 10 Material" to compete for a national title in 2017. They bring up the fact that this year's schedule is markedly more difficult with Montana and EWU on the schedule
  19. According to the wiki, Bull and Rousemiller are the only two OL offers who haven't committed anywhere yet. Henningsen has verballed to walk on at Wisconsin. Of course, there are probably others not listed on the wiki
  20. Man, it'd be pretty disappointing losing both DE commits we've gotten. Especially with the potential Ott has. Hopefully he chooses the scholarship at UND over the PWO at UM
  21. I would think he'd want to recruit to compete with teams like Wisconsin and Iowa too, but if Fleck chooses to emphasize area recruiting, there will be a ripple effect on our recruiting.
  22. Fleck reminds me of a fast-talking Harbaugh. I agree, it all depends on the character of the person you're recruiting. Blue collar players would certainly resonate better with Bubba
  23. Apparently he wants to focus more on area recruiting. I agree that he won't be offering to just FCS level talent. But if he even gets an additional 3-5 area commits a year, that will still affect the smaller schools in recruiting
  24. Might limit us on future recruits though. As UND continues to rise, we get better at getting the decent players from the Cities. UND does do a good job of not focusing recruiting on the Cities, but it's going to be a dogfight for the FCS schools to pick up the scraps that Fleck doesn't go after.
