  1. Defense HAS to limit explosive plays. That’s UNI’s whole offense. If you can knock down a couple Day bombs (or pick one or two) this should be a 14 point win
  2. Weber ran for 220 on them in the Unidome, Youngstown ran for 150, I feel much better about our stable of RBs and OL than either of those teams. I think we can still can get it done with counters and stretch runs
  3. Gotta score early and score on consecutive drives. Need the defense to get a stop or two right away and get the offense rolling.
  4. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YGi99BFaD65R8QTiKtKViD4aKHQHKvBCgGvYhK-FzxE/edit?usp=sharing Updated as of now. Been a quiet period while college coaches and HS players are focused on their own seasons. In Miller's article on Lotysz, he mentioned that there were 20 commits, but for the life of me I can only find 19. If you see I'm missing somebody, let me know and I'll be sure to correct it!
  5. Besides an alum of the school, I'm not sure who would take a job there. Between Nassar's child abuse and Tucker's (alleged) abuse, plus a school shooting earlier this year, the school hasn't had a good public image in almost a decade
  6. I agree with this. Boise lost to the #10 team (at the time) in Washington and a P5 UCF. They're 0-2, but it's not like they've been playing scrubs. I would expect an enormous effort by Boise, and we would need to play a near perfect game to take them down.
  7. Brian Shawn does a great job explaining this in the 360 podcast. Essentially says it's nice to have the big arm guys like Day from UNI, or the mobile guys who can scramble, but what gets overlooked is the ball security and decision making. Wouldn't you rather have 65% completion on 10-15 yard passes than 55% and 3 picks like what Day had against Weber on Saturday?
  8. Similar to us, they’ve played one downright terrible team and one mediocre to bad Big Sky team.
  9. UCF had 258 yards on the ground on Saturday in Boise, and I honestly think we could put up similar numbers. I thought we could have leaned on the run game even more against NAU, especially towards the end of the game. From the sounds of it, Boise's D line can be moved, and I don't think it'd be surprising to average 6-7 yards per rush. If we can dominate possession and execute on 3rd downs, I think there could be a chance.
  10. QB Hurries can cause incomplete passes too though. Drake's starter had a 45% completion percentage, so saying he found open receivers after scrambling is just wrong. Not saying we shouldn't get home and get the sacks, but 21 QB hurries absolutely affects the efficiency of an offense
  11. NDSU has one of the biggest cupcake schedules I've ever seen. I get you can't choose your conference opponents, but their OOC is a 3-8 EWU, a 2-9 Maine, and a 5-6 Central Arkansas. Add to that USD, Misery St, Western Illinois, and Murray St, and they play SEVEN opponents who had losing records last year. It would be an embarrassment to their program not to sleepwalk to the postseason.
  12. Didn’t know where else to put this, but 2001 National title game was put on YouTube in May. The 2003 game is also on there for those who want to relive heartbreak
  13. Updated Recruiting page, we're sitting at 18 commits so far! Still waiting for a run on LBs, CBs, and probably a couple more OLs. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YGi99BFaD65R8QTiKtKViD4aKHQHKvBCgGvYhK-FzxE/edit?usp=sharing
  14. Think Schwenzfeier and Bubba are making a point about how bad the defense was last year? Every position up for grabs, regardless of age/role last year
  15. Great week for recruiting, I think Wyatt Bell will be a dawg on the IOL, Brunell should shatter the career rushing record in WI, and Theobald is the #1 DB in SD! Since Danny's been on staff, the formula has gone top qb choice one year, opportunity for development guy the next, then back to a top choice. I don't know too much about Sulik, but he'll have a chance to work and develop here, and you never know what will happen with guys like that! Here's the updated wiki for everyone as well. 13 commits, I'd expect 5 more between now and fall. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YGi99BFaD65R8QTiKtKViD4aKHQHKvBCgGvYhK-FzxE/edit?usp=sharing
  16. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YGi99BFaD65R8QTiKtKViD4aKHQHKvBCgGvYhK-FzxE/edit?usp=sharing Just updated today!
  17. couple of personal wishlist players: LB Dash Bauman CB Zashon Rich RB Elijah Porter WR Santino Varvel
  18. Back from a big vacation and then the 4th, I finally updated the 2024 recruiting page. Seven commits so far, 22 offers out, I'm sure plenty more coming in the next week or two. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YGi99BFaD65R8QTiKtKViD4aKHQHKvBCgGvYhK-FzxE/edit?usp=sharing
