  1. So will Senser's in Bloomington be going smoke free soon, or are they not effected by the new smoking ban?
  2. What I find really interesting about this is the Sydney Crosby issue. The value of the #1 pick in the next draft will be incredibly valuable. Who will get him on and on what grounds. I think they should just give the pick to the team that plays the most boring style... BTW, This all but gaurentees that Phill Kessell will NOT be a #1 overall pick. Go WILD...
  3. What??? The Sioux were a Zajac post from tying that thing up with a dominating 3rd period?
  4. Personally, I think that the BU game will be more challenging that BC. BC is really hurting and not nearly the team that we lost to earlier this season. Recall that though we lost, we absolutly dominated the 3rd period. BU presents a tougher matchup.
  5. Yes, but inflation...
  6. This is incredibly sad. I visited a third world nation this year (Tanzania in East Africa) and let me say the the Red Lake Indian Reservation is far worse off. In Tanzania, people are happy, food is plentiful, and the people see a better future. Part of my ansestry is that of a Native American, and it is painful to see the poverty, abuses, destruction and neglect that persists on Indian reservations nation wide. What happened in Red Lake is sad but what is worse is that the underlying situation that leads to a instance like this has not, and will not be addressed. This incident is every bit as bad a Columbine, but will never be remembered or addressed like that tragedy because Red Lake is not a rich white suburb like Littleton. Ironically, I got a note in the mail today, from some PAC telling me to oppose a casino in the Twin Cities that will direct much of the profits to rural Minnesota Indian reservations. People don't realize that the Casino's that do exist in the Twin Cities are run by two tribes with a very small membership, while the larger tribes in Minnesota don't see much revenue. I would support this initative or any anything else that could improve Red Lake or Leach Lake or other impoverished peoples. When I travel to hockey games to watch the Sioux, I often see the protesters that complain about the name and how it needs to be changed. Most these people are white and have never spent a day on a reservation in their lives. What they don't realize is that anything that presents Native Americans in a positive light is far better than the alternative of exclusive negative press. If these protesters really cared about Native Americans there is so many better activities that they could partake in. But they do not. As always I respect the University of North Dakota as one of the few institutions that actually has done things to improve life on reservations. A strong educator of Native American doctors for example. This is yet another sad, sad day for Native Americans. And the fact that conditions will not change, and this will be forgotten make it a sad day for everyone.

No I'm not jumping off the bandwagon. We have 4 tickets, however 2 in our party are not going so we have two ticket packages to sell. Face Value, I'm not looking to make a profit. The cost is about $300. If you are interested write me at mjwojcik@gmail.com I will post these on GPL and USCHO in a couple of days, but I wanted the SS people to have first shot. FYI, we got roundtrip air and 3 nights lodging (for 2 people) in Columbus for ~$600 total using travelocity total trip. www.travelocity.com
  8. Maybe you can catch a U of M Practice at the John.
  9. Wow, looking at the overall picks, what a bunch of homers we are...
  10. From INCH's Friday Writeup
  11. I find that my accuracy is nearly perfect when voting after the game.
  12. Part of ref hating is to acknowledge good reffing should it occur. To everyone, thank God for instant replay. How many bad goals could have counted this weekend. I hope all game feature this soon. Mistakes are OK, but shouldn't decide games. To Campion, great job. Your are among the best. To Anderson & Shepard (yes, him), pretty good job, but not Campion-like. To Adam, Learn this line, "Would you like fires with that?" A grand total of 0 games were decided by bad calls this weekend. Absolutely none.
  13. Just got back from the X. Get well Robbie. Best wished to Robbies friend and family. I hope to see you again in a Sioux Uniform, but if I don't, I and the rest of the Sioux faithful are forever greatful for seening someone like you who truely represent Sioux Hockey. You have already stepped up and exceeded everyones expectations. I do hope that we can someday see you as a captain. The Sioux organization top to bottem have handled this with an incredible amount of class. Far more that I would have or Paukovich, Gwozdecky, or Adam did. That is not to say that everyone in the organization is not hurting. We all know it, and have heard it, but I just want to say it too. The play was a viscious cheap shot that happened right in front of me and friends. While I had a great view it was not as great as Adam's who watched the same act of needless violence happen from 15 feet away. One comment for anyone who defends Paukovich, Gwozdecky, or Adam. F&*% you and go to hell, you a$$hole this is indefensable. I though Gwozdecky was doing the class thing holding Paukovich out of the game until I realized that he was just waiting for a power play to reinsert him so the Sioux couldn't go after him. Gwoz knew he didn't belong in the game but put him in anyway. Kudo's to the Sioux for not taking the bait (well too much, no one held up). Paukovich was booed by my section, everytime he got on the ice, got near the puck, or got off the ice. And he will be forever more. I hope the entire Ralph is equally hospitable. Adam, your career is over. No excuses, it is over. If they don't fire you, you need to resign. May no one else have this experience under your guidence. I am not so nieve to think that you could have prevented what happened, but your sorry ass response let Denver know it was OK. You saw the whole play from 15 ft away. I am not among the ref hating crowd, and can accept mistakes, but not this one. Your career is over. I have said this before and I will again. I have so much respect for individuals like Campion who facilitate the game the right way.
  14. What's Hak saying about the latest recruits?
  15. Same comment here, thanks for the info GE.
  16. You have to think that the Sioux have there eyes on this kid. Darcy is currently 18 and in his bio, claims that his goal is to obtain an education through hockey. His numbers don't jump out at you BUT he has gotten hot recently. He is on a playoff tear. I don't follow the BCHL closely, but I assume that Darcy was recently promoted to a better line. It appears that he is now playing with Duncan. My guess is that he is an improving player and will be on Salmon Arm's top line next year. Any way, the name has instant credability in my book, like if there was another Panzer playing Juniors... Here is my best case scenario. Darcy, continues to improve and signs a letter of intent to play for the Sioux starting in 2008, there by causing Travis to stay through his senior year, so he can play with his brother. Like SSM, we have been getting some great talent from Salmon Arm and I hope it continues for a long time. Darcy Zajac http://www.sasilverbacks.com/roster.php?pid=57
  17. Damn, that is really ironic. The last two years I have been caught licking beer up off a busy street.
  18. True, true, and true. I respect tough players out to make their team better (i.e. dropping the gloves to light a fire under your team or to protect your star), however I have no respect for what Peluso tried to do. Worthless player... I'll end this post with his list of career accomplishments. 1) Made Prpich into a Sioux fan favorite. 2) hmmmmm? 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10)
  19. Cupcake... I will bring a "Good luck to Robbie Earl and the rest of the Badger Diving Team" sign.
  20. Oops to the other thread
  21. A little off the Greene topic. I have been listening to many of the opposing broadcasts because UND can seem to get the internet broadcast act together. Every announcer always comments on how huge UND is on D. I find it funny that they list off the first five names and then finnally acknowledge Bina generously listed at 5'10." If I were a gambling man, I'd say 5'7" Bina is great fun to watch but is certainly an odd ball when it comes to the Sioux Defense. It makes me think back to a recent subway ad where they are playing something that sounds like a childrens song that goes: "One of these things is not like the other..." With the Sioux defense and goaltending playing like they are I would think that 4 goals should win any game.
  22. I do, I do... BTW, I think I may have been there a previous year, but where is Great Waters relative to the X. Edit: Hey Wrong Side of the Blue Line, do you still have the signs that spell out MEDIOCRE, in the unlikely event we should here the U of M rouser?
  23. That's funny, I know there are some folks around here that bitch about Greene, but I had no idea there were that many threads.
