The poll should be what was the second best goal this year. Sparky by a landslide for best.
-
Badgers will be solid. I also expect Mankato and AA to challenge for a top 5 finish. Tech, SCCC, Duluth will probably struggle.

I normally think the INCH "found on a cocktail napkins" are really dumb, but I though these were flattering. Here are my favorites.

I haven't seen the replay, but seeing it live was great. It looked like Irmen was crossing the ice looking to make a pass and did not see Smaby. It was one of the more solid open ice hits I have ever seen. I liked that play because the hit was clean and though Irmen was obviously hurt, he was not injured. If anyone has a clip of that hit please send it to me. One positive sign for Radke is that Smaby did not have a good freshman season. This year you could see the monster that he is.

Dear Mr. Smaby, Go pro now. Sincerely, Danny Irmen

I would really hate to see this class get much bigger. This cycle of a huge class every four years is not good. Assuming Kaip is back, we should have enough forwards as is (and assuming no offensive defections, which looks good at this point).

I have never seen Les Reaney play, but the article that I saw said that he has fought his weight. (Not an exact quote). I have never seen anyone claim he is lazy. The problem is that an average player on a great offensive team will score more than a great player on mediocre team. Bottom line, Hak is a great recruiter, if he brings in Reaney, I'll be glad he's here. If he doesn't, probably better we don't have him. Let's not forget that the guy who outscored Zajac last year didn't do much at Fairbanks.

I don't think that we have the personel for this offense in 2005-2006. Look for speed kills... So Much talent here is scary, however I don't want line combinations of NHL talent level players whose names you can easily Make into the TEMP line. 3 years minimum, 4 would be better, just not TEMP players. Who is this?

You should hear back on your qualifications shortly.

I think that is a slam, but I'm not sure. When we went to the concrete center this year there weren't any SCSU fans. Where have they all gone? I can only speculate that it was not to a school with admission standards...

A question. Is there an arrangment where students could be seated in the lower bowl where they could stand at will? Will the facility sight-lines allow for this. I would expect that the issue would be with the suites. Can't they get high stools or something or are the sight lines such that if the students stand there is no possible way to see the ice? Not letting the students stand at will, seems wrong. Students should be able to stand at the start of games until the first scoring opportunity, which was common in the late nineties or for the entire 3rd period if the team is down. When people stand they make more noise. I won't defend or oppose choice language, because it is a student section and there should not be any delusions about what is going to come from there. There are plenty of seats not by the student section for those with young ears. I do believe that the outstanding ND sections in Columbus would have been considered a mob by Kupchella. Certainly we stood too much. I also think it would be fun to have the band in the lower bowl student section.

Wow WCHA opener DU vs. ND. I would expect both games to be televised, perhaps nationally.

I heard from a good source that the quote came from an exact transcript...

If he sticks around 4 years and becomes a graduate student, he can go to the bars.

Found in my U of M inbox. Thank you Fighting Sioux for saving Dinkytown from the resident idiots at Minnesota. EDIT: Clearly this is not everyone...
-
I would have gone with Dee.
-
That might be a crime...
-
I guess, well see...
-
Maybe I'm way off, but I don't see Marto being WCHA material. I've only seen a couple of games though.

Hey if our goaltenders can survive Blais, Radke can survive this year...
-
But they didn't have to play regionals on big ice...
-
Sit down and shut up, I'm entertaining clients... On another note great meeting you AZSIOUX. Look forward to seeing you in Milwaukee.

I like Murray, Duncan, and Toews. Blazing speed along with Toews playmaking.

Hardwick is still available, but could probably use a year in the Juniors. Ammerman does not seem to be gathering much interest at this point. Any top notch Canadian D-men still out there?
