Didn't they do that for a series? I seem to recall hearing that the officials. If I recall, the number of penalties called on both sides were way down in those games. Edit: Also this gives me even more respect for good referees like Campion sp? In generaly I don't have a problem with WCHA referees, but Shepard is the one I always hope not to see.

Good point. Really relative to the gophers, we did not lose as much (though both losses were significant). I would point out that the Sioux weren't in the FF last year either AND have made it exactly as far as the Gophers. I don't think that this was an attempt at a flame post, and I appreciated reading the stats. One question though. Did J. Martin actually play last year for the Gophers?

Offense is just bad. I disagree on the defense. They aren't having their best game but they are playing the #1 offense in the nation and probably have had more opportunities. The fundamental problem is that the Sioux have gotten nothing offensively from upperclassmen all season. Where are the seniors and juniors? Oh well, the real season doesn't start for another month.

For those of you not fully involved with the World Juniors. Despite having their best player (Lee) in Grand Forks Moorhead beat defending state champion Centennial and can win the tourny tonight. I was going to go to the games today, but driving conditions look terrible. I did find that some of the games will be broadcast on the internet today. (Silver Final Breck - Maple Grove and Gold Final Moorhead - White Bear Lake) Here is the URL.
