  1. I don't get all the ink cops on here? This is a message board. As one example, the GF Herald has it's share of ink errors, probably not worth the effort to triple proof everything? Let auto correct, spell check, grammar correction, calculators, internet, texts, spread sheets, scanners, emails, fax machines, computers, cell phones, clouds, printers, cameras, and etc. help you get you through the day and then go enjoy the ball game?
  2. In this case, O = Outstanding
  3. Box score attendance = tickets sold, not butts in seats during game = # of seats $ were collected from. Interesting taught to this. If I buy 2 tickets and don't show, then best half and I watch on TV, am I double dipping for the home team? The U counts us as an attendance # and the network counts us as a viewer? The B1G is making $.
  4. So, you may be a member of the GOWC?
  5. Absolutely, and the GF Heraldo would of been right there with fuel and a match. Still unbelievable how many of barrels of ink they used.
  6. I think your onto something there. We so need a win and a tie this weekend.
  7. I think geaux-sioux has it right, people would still bitch.
  8. On the web site above it shows the bottom 8 teams average attendance might of been less than our WH team had.
  9. Could be, I just searched for a sight that had the figures so I could get this out without going to each school and looking up box scores. I do think that the total average is pretty close though in that the B1G has been just under 2,000 average over those 7 NCHC schools that last few years.
  10. Avg home attendance to date 2017-18. UND leads 11,475 https://www.collegehockeynews.com/almanac/attendance.php 8,726 Minnesota - Denver 5,905 10,436 Wisconsin - St Cloud 4,307 5,585 Michigan - Duluth 6,064 5,157 Michigan St - W Mich 2,940 5,510 Ohio St - Miami 2,493 6,060 Penn St - CC 4,678 4,779 Notre Dame - Omaha 6,118 46,253 Total Avg Attendance 32,505 6,607 Avg per Game Attendance 4,644 Left column has 7 of top 13, right column has 3 of the top 13.
  11. We need the chicken and the egg.
  12. Isn't exactly that what college women's sports do all the time???
  13. I guess I should also add, that in our discussions some said that they have went to WH games and they just couldn't get excited about it. Maybe hockey isn't meant to be for women? Definitely struggling in college.
  14. I've been in many discussions with friends about WH games prior to MH games, maybe not all, but at least most home games. "Making a day of it". Even if a good portion of the MH fans came in for the last period of the WH game. Watching the end of games could of brought more interest to WH, maybe over time the fans would of started coming earlier and earlier?
  15. That's possible. If your right, Kennedy's legacy: The Hit Man! Comes in with the knife and runs.
  16. And all can be forgiven by winning just 1 after that!
  17. Maybe we get the win Friday and a NCAA tie Saturday, but lose after the 1st overtime, and we all go home relatively happy for the weekend effort! Remembering every win and tie get us closer to Sioux Country, that being in Sioux Falls.
  18. I would make the following comparison with B1G teams vs. NCHC teams playing against North Dakota as far as both better attended games and larger viewing audience which in turn translates to more dollars for all. Every B1G team beats out a certain NCHC team, which is pretty amazing in a comparison! Price per game seat could also be added to this comparison. Minnesota > Denver Wisconsin > St Cloud Michigan > Duluth Michigan St > W Mich Ohio St > Miami Penn St > CC Notre Dame > Omaha Yes UND as an affiliate would have to get a cut from the B1G on viewership because UND would help all schools in the following ways: Attendance Viewership from all teams (Also, a lot of UND alumni from MN to Penn St. would watch the BTN more) Bring the B1G to eight, which would generate more interest, better conference. Get to play every team home and away, each one weekend a season. UND would energize some old fans of the previous 5 WCHA teams. Be a conference known for owning the Natty's. Bring in more Larger Networks for various games. Ohhh! Faison wouldn't be around to kill the deal. Kennedy would help make it work.
  19. We sit in the SiouxSports Suite behind the end zone with the goal post that is paid for by the GOBC.
  20. That's why I put the ? there, didn't remember if there was a 3rd place game, that makes it kind of scary!
  21. The most we could possibly lose in those potential games would be two?
  22. The story of cutting Women's hockey will mostly pass but this story of UND Women's hockey players winning the GOLD will not.
  23. I posted to a remark in the Olympic thread but may be more appropriate here, I apologize for posting it twice. Here it is: " Yes, congratulations to the Olympian Lamoureux twins. They had one hell of a gold metal game, Monique scores in the third period to tie the game which then goes to overtime and Jocelyne scores in the 6th shoot out round to end the game, the USA team takes home the GOLD. It was definitely a team effort, and the twins steal our UND hearts. This brings back recent memories of many past comments regarding UND Women's Hockey, "but they had Olympians?" That they surely did and also past UND players on this years Finish team. Hopefully in memory of UND's past Women's Hockey Program, this will help leave many fond memories. Lamoureux twins shine in Olympic Final http://olympics.nbcsports.com/2018/02/22/lamoureux-twins-shine-in-olympic-final/ "
