For Kennedy to say (with a picture of the presidents) we will win the Men's & Women's trophy in next years tournament, is like asking for a bunch of opposing fans to play ball with this statement a year from now.

    With the potentail for 3 conference upsets and at least 16th place going to the Atlantic, a Hawks sweep is dam near a must, unless of cousre we sweep at the X. So many possiblities yet. UNO can get back in through the back door by winning just one this weekend and us not doing so well at the X and certain teams losing.

    Don't know how your bold fits in, nobody is saying we want a president that nobody else wants. Pres. Kennedy could of kindly said no thank you and that I just started this job and have much to do. I appreciate the opportunity that UND has given me and I have a job to do here. vs. CUT & RUN.

    And maybe the news on Friday wouldn't be soon enough? The last paragraph reminds me of the state legislators in their politics of higher ed, as to how we got here. "People like President Kennedy, they are tornadoes," Weinstein said, "and it's those of us without resources or political power who have to rebuild when they are gone." Many of Moser's posts on here also come to mind. Bringing in Schafer with the knife and Kennedy with the sword = a bleeding UND. CUT & RUN

    Three NCHC teams are tied just barely below us, and we earned playoff home ice (with a NCAA loss & tie) for a 16th season in a row. Might need an ink cop on this post? For the way this season has played out, right now there is a part of me, that kind of feels like, I'd be satisfied with us just making it to Sioux Falls, so that our NCAA streak continues. ----------- And, then of coarse, if we make the NCAAs, I'd be automatically regrouping, and showing up in SD. This next game is huge. With a Friday loss, our odds really go down being we are 15th in the PairWise. A sweep in GF is almost a must, if we are to slip once at the X.

    Agree, ties are not a good asset of this team. Also, agree with petey23's recent post in that there aren't as many penalties called in the playoffs, which plays into our strength of playing 5x5. So team must (which has been posted on here many times) "stay out of the penalty box" , and we will be in Sioux Falls!
