It would be great to tap into the Twin Cities market, at least for hockey broadcast, but that seems unlikely.

According to Neulion's website, they are partners with Roku, Apple TV, Google TV, Playstation, & XBox.

I really like how many players come back to Grand Forks over the summer. Recently saw Brendan O'Donnell in town, who just finished the season with Florida Everblades.

This would be a wise move as I am certainly there are plenty of northerners that would love to see their hometown team play against the Coyotes in the winter.

Now that is a logo I can support!

Famous Dave's was at Artfest this weekend. Word on the street was they made an offer on the former Bucks location. The mayor also seemed to give the a shout out during the event too.

Grew up in Nashville, go back frequently, and would love to make a visit for the Frozen Four. Bridgestone Arena is a great facility, despite being 20 years old. They are also doing some major renovations, including new seats. I remember they hosted a UAH versus Merrimack in 2011 which had low attendance, but seems that would be expected. Hockey: A bunch of dorks running around whacking each other with curved sticks I live near South Middle School in Grand Forks and for a few weeks saw youth lacrosse teams playing on the athletic fields. I have also seen several lax nets while walking around my neighborhood. Seems to be some type of popularity in the region.

whoa, what a great blog from the past and lot's of pipedreams. Anyone know what happened to Norman's, seemed like a great place planned? This was all before my time in Grand Forks.

I was thinking that the other day. The building must need a complete gut job or something.

I would single handily keep Vinyl Taco in business. Grand Forks needs more quality, local or regional restaurants.

But Fargo has three different branches. I never heard a proposal that included a second, smaller branch in Grand Forks. Seems it would be a cheap option if they could find space for reasonable rent instead of building new. It should not impact staffing too much because I believe most are volunteers.

Finally ate at Giuseppe's over the weekend, certainly a few notches above Olive Garden and better than Mamma Maria's
