I read somewhere one of the people running for Student Body President wants to pursue tailgating at the REA. So apparently there is some interest in making changes from a student perspective.

Can you imagine Mike Hawk having a larger presence in the REA! Ralph would be rolling in his grave.

I sort of agree. If UND does not want to commit to be a top-level FCS school in all sports, lets just become UMN-D again and save everyone the time and money.

I grew up 90 minutes from Huntsville, have a few friends that went to UAH, and a couple that live in the area now. The city is booming and expected to be the largest one in Alabama by 2024, mostly driven by the aerospace and the automotive industry. UAH is more of a commuter campus so hopefully, this will get more students to stick around for events such as hockey.

I know Facebook is a giant echo chamber and the sample is very limited, but the comments on the Daily Camera page about 90% negative.

There has to be more out there like him right? UND/North Dakota connections in academia that have moved up the ranks and looking for a President's job. Not saying keeping it in the circle is the best way to go, but certainly a good one

Does UND still do the caravan every summer? I remember a few years ago a group of coaches and UND athletic staff would go to various communities throughout North Dakota and part of Minnesota for fan greetings, golf outings, or whatever.

NHL regular season winding down with the coach coaching carousel kicking into high gear. Will Hakstol land another chance on a NHL team?

Agreed. I never recommend family or friends to stay at that place. Overpriced for a very average experience. I personally wish Radisson or some other U.S. chain buys the property and really turns into an actual premier hotel for Grand Forks.

My view of a successful MBB coach is one who can consistently field a team that wins the Summit Conference perhaps 2 out of every 5 years, with the other 3 years still in the upper half with maybe a random NIT bid. This also includes beating 2/3 of the Dakota schools each year. I don't expect MBB to be #1 every year, just not be a basement dweller. A cherry on top would be one first-round win in the Big Dance once in the five-year cycle. Maybe it is too high of an expectation, but don't think it is an unreasonable one.
