Definitely a good thing.

In year 6 as a coach you should have no problem getting your team to buy in on defense. I get that in the Summit your best players are going to transfer away and your team may look a lot different from year to year but you should have a culture and program built up by now. I’ve been a big UND basketball for years, but do not think I will be attending a game the rest of the way. Maybe something changes but I’m not getting my hopes up for a miracle turnaround.

IMO his biggest impact has been team culture and experience with how to run a successful program. The team seems to play more together and is more bought in.

This confirms to me that Johansen was never a candidate here. Must have known he was next up at USD. Surprised it’s happening now though, thought Nielson would be back since they will be really good next year.
