I don’t know if this posted or not but didn’t want to read all the other stuff. Im surprised DeMontagnac is listed as a starter. Nice to see McNeal listed as starter. Noticed New Mexico DL transfer not listed on 2 deep but the transfer nose is listed as starter. Buckner and KK listed at safety, I would assume Fort is in the mix there and wouldn’t be surprised if he starts later this year.

Crazy how quick that game turned around last year. It started with that awful pick 6.

How would your outlook be if they were 4-2 after the first 6 games? Meaning they beat either Boise, SDSU, or NDSU at home.

If they start 2-2, and then finish 9-2 and get a playoff seed, are we all of a sudden accepting mediocrity? Obviously all of us want a major upset, but there is still a path to a great season after starting 2-2. That’s all we are saying. The difference between 2-2 and 3-3 is bigger than you think. This team needs to finally do it and beat NDSU at home. If not, then I would start to be a bit more negative or critical. I think we have these same arguments over and over with you, but in the end we all are basically in agreement. I doubt there is anyone on this forum that would say a 7-4 season with a first round playoff exit is ok. Our expectations have to be higher than that and I believe they are.

I agree, have to win in playoffs. To be fair, the first half against Weber State might have been the worst half I have ever seen from a UND defense. Even if the defense is just average this year, I think it will be a great season. (Hilarious that we now say we have this good and creative offense with a questionable defense. Who would have guessed that under Bubba?)

The Bison also had Grant at receiver. I also think he would be better suited as a RB or even a OLB.

Funny how prevalent the downvote is on these forums are now and I know exactly who downvotes the post before I check. I guess I like to be more stingy with my upvotes and downvotes…

I bet if you asked most people on this forum, they wouldn’t be completely happy with where the football program is at. I can’t speak for everyone, but I don’t think there are many justifying mediocrity. We all can get frustrated at times, but I don’t see the point of constantly bitching about the same thing over and over. Sometimes some positivity and optimism is good. I am very excited for this upcoming season, and I think a win in the playoffs should be the expectation. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the football program is where we want it to be. We have gone over these points so many different times and I have expressed my frustrations as well.

Hopefully a healthy Sam Fort can help. I’ve this many times on here, but I’m still worried about OLB and Safety. Hopefully there has been lots of improvement from the guys we have.

I make sure to go to BWW on the nights they have wing deals. Or else it can get very expensive

This would be a terrible attitude to have. You want us to be just ok with being mediocre at football?

It’s to the point where Buxton has to play CF because he is providing no value at DH. He slumps way too much and is blocking the DH spot with no production. I understand he’s not fully healthy and they have basically shown he won’t play in CF (wouldn’t even put him out there for an inning in a situation with no bench players left and they would have been screwed if the pitchers spot somehow came up) but he is really hurting the team right now.

Would agree with @SWSiouxMN that he would be great in a 6th man 20-25 minutes per game role.

I don’t believe Brady will be a 30 minute per game guy this year. Maybe I’m wrong though.
