I’m not giving my portion of the tickets either. I always look forward to making it to games in the fall, next year I might be looking forward to the tailgate more than the game itself.

We still showed up this year. Would have been an even higher average if you just win on the road against Youngstown and Indiana State. Expect this number to drop significantly if Bubba is back. I know a couple of people in my group that won’t be getting season tickets again.

Not that there is technically a big difference from some D2 teams and the !@#!$ FCS teams, the main thing is the fact that teams know how D2 games can affect them for seeding, it isn’t something new. NDSU non-conference ended up looking better than it usually does with Tennessee State and East Tennessee State both having solid seasons.

7 wins assumes wins on the road against UNI and Southern Illinois. Not sure if I see that happening. Sure they both may be awful next year, but so were Youngstown State and Indiana State this year.

It’s finally to the point IMO where a 7-4 season with a first round playoff game doesn’t save him. If he’s back you are exactly right, it will be a lame duck disaster of a year. It’s going to be such an obvious waste of time because we know what he is capable of.

So realistically speaking: Bubba will have his end of the year conference tomorrow. He will start by recapping the previous game and either announce staff changes or get asked about them. And then we move on forward with him for next year? I hope I’m wrong but I just done see them buying him out at this point. Chaves is extended through June 2026. They let him go after spring of 2025 and hire new AD. New AD is able to hire new football coach after Bubba wins 4 games next year.

Agreed. I’m of the opinion that it shouldn’t be either. I would maybe consider Schluessner, but would like someone without UND ties

Please just have it actually be a true national search. Not just give it to Fruechte or offer to Freund without evaluating all possible options

Illinois State wasn’t even that good and they are the 12 seed. In the current state of the FCS it shouldn’t take much to turn things around.

Even then you would want a national search that doesn’t take forever. There is no way a new AD is hired in time to make this hire unless you promote from within.

We are in a terrible situation. Bubba needs to be gone now, but if that happens that means Chaves is making the hire. No way both will be bought out immediately

They had that with DeBoer last time. Hopefully they can make the right decision this time
