I already have the feeling they screwed this up and they haven’t even hired anybody yet.

The way they announced it was weird. It sounds like a lot of people think that it is more of a long term thing. My mind went there right away before I read the press release

NDSU players and former players did this with Roehl. In their case, I believe they made the correct decision to hire Polasek. As for UND, I would prefer them not to hire Fruechte. If they do, he better not retain anyone on the defensive staff and start over on that side.

I looked back at a poll in 2014, at it was slightly in favor in DeBoer. We definitely know what we are talking about

He would meet the minimum but not all of the preferred I believe

It was definitely time for him to be done and has been for a couple of years, but Bubba had me in tears here. You can tell how much he loves this university and the effort he put in. I wanted him to be successful so bad.

Kelly seems to think they are getting a lot of interest.

Was there an interim coach when Muss was fired?

Does Fruechte have the connections to replace the current defensive staff? If for whatever reason the interim tag is removed and he is the guy his first decision needs to be to clean house on that side.

There are still doing a national search it appears. From the UND press release:

I bet we could be pretty good offensively right away with him, especially if he can retain a couple current players and with the portal likely being more flooded than usual. With his connections, might be able to put together a solid defensive staff.

No worries. I should also make it clear that McFeely is a clown and that I usually don’t put any weight into anything he says

Only one I didn’t like was the jab to us fans. Made it sound like all of us were complaining that NDSU got the 2 seed. I would say it was pretty split
