All they ask for is a tax abadement like they give many new businesses like the Canad Inn. I remember getting chastised for not thinking it was that big of a deal losing in OT to Duluth a couple years ago in the playoffs, because in the long run it didn't seem to mean much, because Duluth could have just easily have underestimated the Sioux and didn't play up to their potential......now they went 0-27-1 in the league. Looks like I was right. I hope the new coach can do a lot better. Shouldn't be hard.

More importantly what Sioux fans have to say about this! This means Blais essentially stepped down from tons of money and fame coaching UND to coach a USHL team. It solidifies many unfortunate rumors.

The arguement is WDAZ is not showing this game because some people complain (just like the Sioux name) so they are deciding not to show it and bow down to the minority despite years and years of showing every road playoff game in past history. How about WDAZ announces "well in advance" that they are going to broadcast all playoff games. Those people will still complain whether they know in advance or not. If it was the Bison, WDAY would have no doubt aired these road playoff games statewide despite a minority of people complaining and without advanced warning.

You're really good at arguing the facts. How about you hop on over the the Griz board and tell them they were going to lose to a D2 team at home (the Bison). When you come back crying because everyone was laughing at you, I'll just grin with a smirk on my face.

The Gophers are able to recruit good athletes that have went to Big 10 schools. And they nearly lost to a team that was not even eligible for DIAA playoffs because they just came out of Division II. Getting recruits that were recruited by other "bigger and better" schools, doesn't mean squat. See example above.

You're finally starting to get it. The sad fact is I'd be willing to bet there would be more of an outrage if this was UND hockey.
