I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't care who gets the best recruits: Sioux, Gophers, or Michigan (Pretty sure they do year after year with the development team in their backyard) and I don't care where they come from GF, ND, MN, Canada, or Australia. All I care about is what they do for the Sioux (on and off the ice) and how hard they play for the Sioux, and most importantly how they play as a TEAM, cause talent alone doesn't get one to far.

I have a question for our beloved Monster. Isn't the Wink, Smily, and Silly (the eye roller) all sorta contradicting each other? Is it a way to be serious and try to express your opinion without getting into a confrontation? and another quick question whats the "MRG74" stand for?

Different people have different agendas. UND folks often think about going to U of Minnesota, but don't, even though they have all the above mentioned. I wonder why anyone besides a "hockey player or anyone interested in aviation" goes to UND.

Pretty sure that cost extra money that they may or may not have.

I find it comical that so many people care what one person thinks of North Dakota and writes about it. The guy has a right to his opinions and has the right to have them published in his school newspaper. If you read his column it isn't really ND bashing, the only problem I have is the "Nazi" part. Some people don't like North Dakota. I don't think there is a reason to write to him about how you disagree with his opinion.

I have to imagine that Crookston, Moorehead, and now Mary all being Division II, while our archrival moved to Division I, will be even more pressure amongst alumni to pressure UND to move to IAA. Mary moving into the same division as UND will be the last straw for some.

What "programs" need to get "back on track" and "turned around"? I didn't know UND/REA was headed in the wrong direction.

I guess it depends on what you define "fairly easily." Bring in ice, boards, plexiglass set it all up. & and sighlines would suck. On the plus tickets would probably be easy to get and would put college hockey on the map if 60,000 showed up. Maybe a Mich/State championship game. I just made my self laugh.

AZSioux, that wasn't you in the "Phoenix AZ Sioux Fan" on the back of a Tshirt was it? I saw a group at the Varsity Club by the arena Friday afternoon after watching the Sioux practice. The only think I kept looking for was a sioux sports sweatshirt that Jim said he was going to be wearing but I never saw it, and a baldheaded man that resembled MafiaMan, but unfortunately didn't see him either. I saw Forecheck before the game on Saturday around a table of friends at the Holiday Inn tent, but was to shy to say hello. We sat exactly at center ice lower bowl section 123. Like everyone said, Maine fans made a point to say they were cheering for us and "Maine fans don't forget." I'll never forget the look of one Maine fan standing in the exit as we walked out of our seats saturday night dissapointed, he didn't say a word but I could feel he shared in our loss by the way he looked at me/us. Me and a bud bought our tickets off ebay, like i saw section 123. $200 a piece all three games. Drove 16 hours from Wednesday afternoon til thursday morning. Found rooms at the Red Roof Inn, about .5 miles from the arena. Good times. Everyone in columbus was extremely friendly. Saturday we were looking to drown our sorrows, so we stopped at a country bar right next to the hotel called Nyoh's. The bartender gave us some free shots, and even made sure to give us free coozies as we walked out. Friday killing time, I hadn't heard siouxsports fans favored "Danny's Platinum Fox" but found a nice BYOB gentlemans club "pure platinum" $25 cover, and have to buy ice to put your beer in. Talk about a good way to get around a loophole, and open til 5 am.

Me and a buddy Monday night at the famous Whitey's Wonderbar in beautiful downtown East Grand Forks decided to go. No tickets, no hotel. Just a desire to watch the Sioux. Ordered some tickets off of ebay. Hopefully I can meet that person in Columbus...having not talked to them yet. Driving straight through from Grand Forks leaving in about an hour or two. I was thinking the same. My boss walked by and was thoroughly upset.
