  1. I also think it is a concern that they rely on Aerospace and are not expanding and exploring some growth sectors like business. Something to think about would be how much larger NDSU would be than UND if UND did not ever start their aerospace program. One would think that UND having aerospace, the med school, and law that UND would be far larger enrollment wise than a nearby similar state university without those programs.
  2. The biggest thing to me is they used the headline: Michigan loss not shocking to all "AT ALL".....its like c'mon. One of the greatest sports upset of all time and its not shocking? That's my "ridicule."
  3. Define "good." Better yet. It doesn't matter if they don't know who App State is. It's one of the grestest upsets is because....... It has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. The Forum says otherwise cause they have an agenda.
  4. I hope this isn't a trend in FCS. I was hoping for more competition in FCS, but Two games; Two wins. And these FCS teams have scholarships (more than the Sioux). We aren't talking Valparaiso here. That just means more FCS cupcakes for the Sioux to munch on.
  5. SUU's coach should be fired. If I was a fan of theirs. When you are losing a ballgame. The object is to win, no matter how much you are down, and never give up. 4th Down and they decide to kick a field goal down 37-0. No doubt their coach gave up the game and just wanted to "save face." Oh look at us "We did not get shut out by a D2 team." If I was a fan of SUU. I want to win the game still no matter the score, and you need to go for it.
  6. Chappell Returns.
  7. They were toying with Michigan; they were so bad. They ran the "Statue of Liberty" and some other crazy play than concluded in an uncontested touchdown.
  8. Hey guys you're still on the air...haha.
  9. WHooping Ass.
  10. I though FCS/IAA was suppose to be a step up in competition. And these teams even have scholarships. Good work Sioux.
  11. Nope. When the Ralph opened it was like that.
  12. I agree. To bad students don't get that many lower bowl tickets in the Ralph.
  13. I agree. That Dakota Student article is misleading.

    UND v SUU

    SUU 21 UND 17
  15. Just to update: UND is definately moving to FCS (or whatever they are called). The athletic program is going to need more money. That is a FACT.
  16. What many national sports coumnists are calling "one of the greatest upsets of all time," is not shocking at all to a Fargo media man. Go Figure. .... More reason not to trust the Fargo Forum.
  17. This could only help "The Big Ten Network." Those execs had to be smiling. Next is Big Ten Hockey games....and then who knows.
  18. Harvard is private and so is the majority of the "Ivy League." Harvard has high tuition so funding their athletic programs is "very expensive" like San Diego as you describe. So to answer the first question of the odds of San Diego going the scholie route? It is definately possible. They just dont' call it "scholies" but

  20. That is one of the inherant problems with a green out. Many fans have... I know my closet probably has about 5 different shades of shirt/sweatshirts etc of Sioux Gear.
  21. If people don't have a shirt and want one. They can order one here: Green Out Shirt. It would also be cool because you know more than likely they are SiouxSports.com regulars. Hopefully this fan driven tradition will continue to build support year after year until it is an offically sanctioned university event. *not kelly green but definately an attention grabbing green.
  22. You live in Hillsboro?
  23. Its definately not one persons fault. But our fault as a society and politicians and how we vote and how we live our lives. I think people "blaming" and "finger pointing" is a genuine interest in seeing what went wrong and how we can correct it so it does not happen again. A good thing in my opinion. Whether it be stricter "bridge replacement policies," more money for infrastructure, etc. How many bridges are now closed because of this? And lifes possibly saved? A bridge just closed in Missouri within the past couple of days. This ain't the first bridge collapse in this country and it certainly won't be the last. This could essentially be the beginning if nothing is done as this country is getting "older."

    TV Games

Are there any UND (football) games on ABC/NBC like there use to be?
  25. Here's my strange/interesting story: Around 6 o'clock that day I was stopped at a light on the overpass bridge that is directly above 35W (on University Ave SE) about a block North of the collapse. (You can see the bridge that collapsed if I looked out the right hand side) I felt a slight vibration and some faint sounds (my radio was on). I turned the radio off and rolled down my window to see/listen what the noise/vibration was. I thought to myself "I hope this bridge doesn't collapse." But brushed it off because I thought "Bridges don't just collapse." Told myself it must have just been a strong gust of wind. Light turned green and I drove away. I am convinced if I turned onto 35W there (instead of going straight) I would have been on the bridge at that time or darn close.
