  1. Well ladies good discussion. I'm hitting the sack.
  2. What's the World Series? Not sure, but expectations were probably high if they got got off back to back title game appearances and had the nicest arena of any other team.
  3. I thought you said you attended the old old barn. Unheated. Chicken wire. Homemade "zamboni".
  4. And with the new ralph after back to back title game appearances. Expectations were sky high!!! Much more than 0.
  5. The hoggsbreath brunch pointed out most ss'ers here are older than me. I was 17 when I started following and that was 13 years ago.
  6. And with that the gophers made history. And we have all been waiting, thinking heck if Minnesota can do it it must be easy!:'(
  7. Sucks to start to follow UND HOCKEY in the "golden days" (championships). 2000. I got spoiled. And the simple point is I don't really buy the parity issue.
  8. I wanna be bc this century dang it!!!! The Hoggs? No ill be in minneapolis with my own ss brunch lol. Yeah ill be there.
  9. It was tongue in cheek. I personally put more stock in modern history. BC is a great hockey program.
  10. Is the only way to be good "historically" is by having the good years a long time ago and not recently? Even if the number of good is the same as the number of bad? If Michigan had 6 championships in the 60s and BC only five in the 00s. Is Michigan historically the better team? I would say only in the "definition".
  11. Modern history. I hear the gophers are historically good at football..
  12. Basically yes. I know they aren't when I search the hockey encyclopedia. That's why Michigan no. BC yes. I forget anything after a decade.
  13. No. Everything the same as its been. Just one game less of those titles.
  14. So you are saying UND has a greater chance of winning a championship if only four teams made the tournament?
  15. Does the chance of the gophers winning a men's basketball championship decrease if the field was expanded to 200? Well technically yes from .2% to .19% Michigan is looked upon, by me at least only, cause purely name recognition. When we play them I know they have the name and resources to compete with UND or anyone. Niagara could have more success in the tournament the last ten years and for right or for wrong I "wouldn't remember", too mme they get lumped with umass Lowell and the other not "historic" contenders.
  16. Would you trade every trophy Hakstol got the last nine seasons for a National Championship?
  17. Basketball games are always so close in the post season. Every shot truely matters. The first one counts just as much as the last one.
  18. Boston College has won three of the last five championships. Are we even sure there is more parity?
  19. UND has a better chance of winning a championship if there was less high end skaters? The top programs are still getting their picks of who they want. UND just lost to Yale, which has less "high end skaters."
  20. Maybe the BTHC will be good for UND. They can get those blue chip, two season players. And UND will get those "old Ralph" recruits again.
  21. Its obvious now. UND needs to push for only four teams making the tournament. It sounds like it will GREATLY increase their chances of winning one!
  22. I meant same amount of teams playing Division I hockey since Hakstol took over...might be one or two more? I didn't actually look it up.
  23. More parity? Same amount of teams same amount of winners. What caused this parity and how do I get rid of it?
  24. Goes to show UND is close...
