  1. Yeah that winter edit you made. Helped.
  2. It was also an odd email. Left more questions than answers. Seemed like internal stuff that didn't need to be send to the whole community. "Athletics will have a small budget deficit. We'll look into the issue." Seems strange.
  3. President Kennedy is warming up the audience for something...only time will tell what it is. .....in other news the committee that will be formed has a price tag of $1.4 Million.
  4. Sounds like Ed Schafer should have cut more sports. Faison isn't going to cut sports without being told to do so. Faisons job is to keep and grow sports, but again this athletic shortfall isn't anything new..it's just there's less institutional funds due to state budget cuts and the increased expenses of full cost of attendance.
  5. $1.4 million athletic shortfall...... Thats what been going on at UND for years (and the majority of college athletics)?
  6. I overheard the GOBC meeting. There will be an announcement by UND later this week regarding Athletic financing.
  7. The original logo had a black shadow under the chin hiding some of the D. The logo above idk what to say about it....now there's just some odd gap between the D and the Hawk.
  8. I went to Scheels here in Bismarck today. I did almost buy a shirt that had a football helmet with the new logo on it, but went with a abstract vertical football with the old interlocking logo. It was a tough decision though. Nothing else really looked good IMO, though the Fighting Hawks hats were pretty good.
  9. I would also like to send a letter of thanks to the University of Minnesota for not recruiting the best hockey players in the world and only focusing on players they knew they had a chance at landing.
  10. They can afford it I guess, and/or happy at other positions vs the available talent....unfortunately for Wentz the odds are stacked against him, but fortunately for him he already made big money.
  11. Guy only played (started?) two years of College...in the second division....his best hope is to ride the pine for awhile (aaron rodgers).
  12. I have trouble getting up to speed there. It's such a short distance and the bumps fly me out of my seat.

    Anyone Vape?

I have quit tobacco... Vaping is the easiest way to do it. (Real world evidence not FDA)....people eventually drop the amount of nicotine in the juice til they are vaping zero nicotine and then eventually quit.

    Anyone Vape?

    Not that kind of vape.
  15. Is that an official thing now I missed?
  16. Not surprising, as pointed out that area is basically a transition from highway speeds to "city limits". 5% very low number. It's not a residential area not sure there is "potential risk to the community". Increased enforcement will last a couple weeks til everyone knows it's an enforcement area, speeding tickets will drastically decline and the Police will move on. I'm still dumbfounded how two cars going down cherry street (or any residential area) at 25 MPH (and of course people speeding that are late to work or school) both meet at uncontrolled intersections (no stop or yield sign means keep on trucking) is safe. Seems like disasters waiting to happen.

    Anyone Vape?

Saw this on KVLY News right now: Tap Water Causes Cancer ......nothing is "100%" safe if one can has to worry about the suppose to be safest substance on the planet. Anyone Vape?

I recently got off cigarettes after I noticed a spot on my forearm that felt constantly sunburnt. I played Dr. Google and read it could be related to Carbon Monoxide poisoning, and since cigs contain CO I figured it's about time to quit. I had tried those cigalikes (like Blu) for a bit when they first came out a few years ago but they weren't very satisfying (not cheap, didn't last long: juice and batteries, poor throat hit) so I went back to cigarettes, but noticing the health hazard this time being more determined than ever, I did some research and bought a Kanger Subvod Starter Kit....and a week later quit tobacco all together (finding a juice I enjoyed: sweet tarts, bubble gum rather than "tobacco flavor" really helped too). After doing research, Ive learned Vaping has become a victim of its own success. So many people have made the switch that the industry has ballooned to about $10 Billion with Vape Stores and "Vape Festivals" popping up throughout the country. This has caught the attention of the FDA and as of Monday no new Vape Products or Eliquid can not be introduced to market (without approval by the FDA which experts estimate at $1,000,000 per product) and all current products have two years to get that same approval (it's estimated the majority of the products will vanish as most are small businesses, not "big tobacco", and don't have that kind of money). The "sunburn" spot on my forearm has been gone since I made the switch.
  19. I signed the peition. It would be great if NDSU kept him. I'm hoping the saga is just beginning...."Bresciani claims legislator denied ndsu funds due to "personal issues.""
  20. I see DB has issued another email to his colleagues (his way of talking to the media) yet without "dipping down to that level of discourse."
  21. Did they meet at UND or did his wife get a job within the athletic department because it's "who you know"?
