Another trick is snapchat maps. People always uploading concerts and events to "public." But you gotta catch it within 24 hours.

The 6,000 to 8,000 people that will be moving to Grand Forks the next ten years will need jobs. Just like the previous 6,000 that moved from 2010.

Which is literally the wage McDonald's is advertising. Edit: $15. I think I saw Hobby Lobby, Menards, Target advertising $18. McDonald's historically is seen as setting the "market minimum wage."

Weak businesses don't survive when competition arrives. Competition drives higher wages. If a business cannot afford to keep up maybe they shouldn't be in business.

I like being close to Fargo. Gives more options for area events. I looked it up to see if they had an air show this year so I could possibly go. Not try and berate.

Large brand new house on the south end of town. Not really surprised. Prices keep inflating. People keep paying those prices. These complaints are as old as time. I've been joking with people forever that if there was ever a place in the country with cheap housing it should be here....Cold, Flat, and nobody around. Yet it's not the case.

There's a large company already in Grand Forks that's owned by a Chinese company. Cirrus Aircraft.

They likely reinvest all "profits." So even if they weren't tax exempt they wouldn't pay any taxes. They run a lot more than a church including a Food Pantry and kid programs.

My snapchat story driving home. Lol I crossed over Highway 2 from gravel where cars are going 70+ mph. Three feet to see if it was clear or not. I said a prayer and hit the gas to cross.

Yup. Sat out there for three hours. Left at 130 even though they claimed they'd fly at 230. Didn't have much confidence. And leaving early paid off. Worst winds I'd seen. Blizzard like visibility.

Not sure they own the kmart part, but Hope Church and the owners do a pretty good job managing and upgrading that mall.

Watched a stream of cars pull into the Sonic drive up bays...I mean it is summertime. That seems like a key part of their business model. "Sorry the bays and lobby are closed. Only drive thru is open." "Staff shortage" gonna close Sonic next?

I would also guess a go-kart track. Someone older me could probably tell you (but then again they probably wouldn't be found using the internet). That stretch use to be the entrance to the state park before it was moved. You can see the old road and bridge still there. And there was I believe a bunch of other attractions like horseback riding.
