  1. Banners. Definitely banners.
  2. I brought these posts from the 1st round link over to here as they are 2nd round info.
  3. Dang. Ya beat me to it.
  4. John Yarborough
  5. Hanca: First, you'll need this. Be sure to tell your team to dress warm. http://www.weather.gov/fgf/ Next, the venue. Remember the noise from Fargodome? Well, our venue holds fewer, but the facility is more compact and the roof is lower and curved back down toward the field. Net effect is ... louder. http://www.aleruscenter.com/ And finally, as Cratter says, staying attached to the arena isn't a bad option. https://www.canadinns.com/stay/grand-forks/home/
  6. "So when the floodwaters come up, that waste is going to be contaminating the water. We’re no different than the oil company, ... " -- David Archambault No, David, you're worse. Your waste (from the camp) is at the surface and guaranteed to go into the river when the floods come: basically there's a town of 5000 crapping directly into the water source for Standing Rock.
  7. Massey's predictions: http://mratings.com/cf/11605/games?dt=20161129
  8. Madison Day Katherine Heigl Their hairdresser clued me in on this one.
  9. Looking at predictions, no one (not even Massey Ratings) did better than 6-2. Nobody picked San Diego; and everyone picked at least one other game wrong.
  10. Boeser and Gardner.
  11. What's this team need? Leadership. Remember when I said 2-5-11-8. Two seniors. One is a backup goalie. The other wears a "C" but casually skates to the puck with four minutes to play in a tied must-win game, and proceeds to misplay it and get stripped in his own end of the ice. <-- That right there is the most frustrating thing I saw on the weekend. Where the < bleep! > is the accountability. Five juniors. One is the starting goalie (who honestly could use a break if nothing else for the mental reset). Pogo is hot and cold (not a sign of a leader, or maturity). Simonson and Olson are bottom six guys who haven't been consistent enough either. Poolman is trying to do it all by himself. I'll say it again: If this team is going anywhere, it's going to take a couple sophomores to step up, not so much on the ice, but in the room.
  12. http://www.ncaa.com/scoreboard/football/fcs Weber is having a rough day. So is Lehigh.
  13. Honestly, if they really are 8 deep, that's not a bad plan at all.
  14. Like I said, if fat and sassy after last week shows up we lose. Something worse beyond that showed up: Immaturity. They thought they could just show up and win. I blame leadership for not heading that off, and not Berry and his staff. That kind of maturity comes from the C and As. You knew last year what you were getting every night from Jewels and Chyzyk and the Coltons (S and StC). What we have right now is two seniors (one is a backup goalie) and five juniors. None are really leading by example. They're all up and down game to game. That's no example or standard. Given that, it might be time for Rhett Gardner and the sophomores to set the pace and tone.
  15. It wasn't just the ladies yesterday ...
  16. I pinged Jim about this (as he's mostly unavailable this week). His answer:
  17. So the DAPL starts at Stanley (north of the lake) goes west to Trenton and then turns south and crosses the Missouri River to go toward Watford City and then southeast toward Standing Roc ... what!?!?! The DAPL has already crossed the Missouri River upstream of Standing Rock and upstream of Bismarck. (See page 2 of 5) What's the problem again?
  18. The following is how Massey Ratings sees Saturday Nov 26 playing out: Game (winner bold) [score] (probability for bolded favorite) Saint Francis at Villanova [21-7] (87%)Weber State at Chattanooga [31-19] (81%)Lehigh at New Hampshire [33-28] (65%)North Carolina A&T at Richmond [36-24] (81%)Charleston Southern at Wofford [26-24] (53%)Illinois State at Central Arkansas [23-21] (54%)Samford at Youngstown State [28-20] (75%)San Diego at Cal Poly [35-29] (66%) http://mratings.com/pred.php?s=cf&sub=11605
  19. Now that I've said what I needed to say (see two posts prior), this is what I said while watching UR@W&M on Saturday: The game was still in reach for UR and yet they had no answer for W&M's one-man* running game. He was gashing them even though it was clear (single back, 12 or 13 personnel groupings) the run was coming. *W&M Kendall Anderson, 42 carries for 219 yards (plus 4 receptions for 42 yards). http://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=400872760
  20. Now is not the time for piss and vinegar, fat and sassy, overconfidence. It's the playoffs. Every team is a threat.
  21. If you ever need facepalm after facepalm (or is it LOL after LOL) follow Rob Port on Twitter. He seems to have his nightly "run-ins" with the #NoDAPL crowd.
