  1. Kolpack had a different number, about $2.1 million (not the $6.6 cited and referenced above). This just in ... http://www.inforum.com/news/4222883-ndsu-offering-phased-retirements-cutting-student-affairs-administrators
  2. You're being polite.
  3. So, ice jam, flood, inundation, debris washed away, to the intake of the civil water supply for Standing Rock ... that they were there to "protect". http://bismarcktribune.com/news/state-and-regional/ice-jams-raise-flooding-concern-while-agencies-move-to-close/article_31caa8df-c5a5-5608-a4b9-b1581a05110c.html
  4. Uh ... you do know that Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney is the back-up site incident commander to the Morton County Sheriff as assigned by the Governor, right?
  5. Pure speculation by me, but logisitics for a women's game have to be just as tough as for a men's game* in a lot of ways. Lots of work for little return. *Security, ushers, guest services, concessions, medical, ice crew, ticket office, ...
  6. I should've bought stock in Orville Reddenbacher and Jiffy-Pop yesterday.
  7. Honestly, that was my one fear with that name.
  8. Uh, ... depends on what type of non-profit they are. A non-profit can make money as long as it defines where its "excess revenues" must go. In REA's case, it's UND Athletics. Heck, Sanford Health is a non-profit. You know because they file an IRS Form 990.
  9. Fetch with a blast of positivity? Who are you and how'd you get Fetch's password!

  11. To me the core problem is the NCAA. So what if Wazzamatta U wants to play DI mens lacrosse and nothing else. So. What. Obviously Wazzamatta would have to do things inside their university to meet Title IX, but why should any school have to play 14 or 16 sports to just play 1 or 2 that might make fiscal sense.
  12. Kids are too much trouble. Just this; that is all.
  13. I corrected your statement. Title IX is about equitable opportunities, not how many. The NCAA is the one that mandates n sports to play in Division X.
  14. Say it a couple-thirteen-fourteen more times and I may believe you.
  15. I'm not sure how the current ratings work. In the past wasn't it: E - Could have your beer with you in batter's box and on base paths. Any defender could have beer with them. D - Could have beer with you in batter's box and running to first but not on other paths. Only OF and cornermen could have beers. C - Had to leave beer with base coaches before batting; timeout to transfer beer from first to third coach allowed. Only OF could have beers.
  16. By level, no. But would they sandbag their way through a tournament bracket?
  17. Why is that link suddenly "Access Denied"?
  18. I suspect one particular Russian will go.
  19. Gary always put together a team full of ringers and sandbaggers.
  20. Leadership. Ownership. That PCM guy used to quote Napoleon in that, "The moral is to the physical as three is to one." For those of you that don't understand that, confidence and believing is three times as important as skills and tools.
  21. There's a lot of work to be done between here and there.
  22. I was pondering the very same point. It's a very interesting trial balloon to float out there, and yeah, I just called it a trial balloon. My rough look at the 2015 numbers say you can cut "WIH" or "M/W S&D and M/W Tennis" and get to about the same $1.2-1.3 million. But, imagine if cutting the last group cost an extra $600k (4 x $150k) penalty. More interesting is that it's Douple and the Summit. There's some history there about statements coming, or not coming, out of those offices.
  23. Can't claim it entirely as mine. A former poster here brought the concept to me.
  24. It's the curse of the warm spring weather. It's the curse of the cool spring weather. Pull no punches? I believe there's something "in the room" that's bugging this team. They need to fix it or work it out.
  25. I'd say Jost was gone except for one thing: the missed games. That exposed that Jost is smaller and could use one more year to build the body. Note that the injury came after the grind of many hard games in few days. That's the way the pros run.
