Like I said, if fat and sassy after last week shows up we lose. Something worse beyond that showed up: Immaturity. They thought they could just show up and win. I blame leadership for not heading that off, and not Berry and his staff. That kind of maturity comes from the C and As. You knew last year what you were getting every night from Jewels and Chyzyk and the Coltons (S and StC). What we have right now is two seniors (one is a backup goalie) and five juniors. None are really leading by example. They're all up and down game to game. That's no example or standard. Given that, it might be time for Rhett Gardner and the sophomores to set the pace and tone.

The committee chair said they seeded the top eight by the process, so getting SDSU (1 v 8 bracket) was the reality. That wasn't going to be adjusted away. What would NDSU fans prefer over the winner of USanD@CalPoly? The ISU(red)@UCA winner? The Samford@YSU winner? Other?

Honestly, those two opening losses happened for a reason. There were things that the team needed to learn those days. Better then than during conference play.

The first two out (Albany 7-4; Fordham 8-3) have to be feeling like UND last year, namely ... "A 6-5 team over us? MoVaFoBa bias!"
