Title IX is not about women's sports. Title IX is about opportunities and gender equity. UND was ripe for a Title IX suit after baseball was cut ... a suit by male athletes.

The estimate is a school like Minnesota will get $43-56 million annually in TV revenues over the next six years. My 10% of that number is $4.3-5.6 million annually. That's 20-25% of UND's current athletic budget! And I just figured out how to spin it: Give us that money or we blame YOU for us having to ax WIH.

Minnesota and @Wisconsin on the schedule this year. If "UND to BTHC" comes about, I'd expect the news one of those weekends. Then again, most conferences have "let us know if you're leaving" cut-off dates in June/July.

I'll make it easy for the Lammy twins. Consider this an open letter to them. You don't have to raise a $60 million endowment to save WIH. You don't have to raise $2-3 million to play another season. You just have to cut $2-3 million from some other portion of UND to save WIH. So, have at it. What are you going to do? Nothing is not an option. The State Legislature isn't sending the money so you have to cut the budget. Nothing is not an option. So, are you ... Cutting the history department? Cutting the mathematics or physics departments? Offering retirement buyouts to cut head counts (like has been done already, including from admin)? How about whacking the department you got your degrees from? So, if it's so easy to question someone else's call, how about you make one.
