  1. They blow that away this year. Frozen Four: United Center, home of the Chicago NHL franchise. For those that have been in the Madhouse on Madison, you know what I'm getting at. (There may be an image or two in there.)
  2. My advice: Print this. Pin to shirt. Walk to their table. Smile. Get your stubs. Proceed to nearest trash receptacle and dispose of thing pinned to shirt.
  3. "Lost his balance" ... and just happened to lower his shoulder and land it in the middle of the goalie's chest? Yeah-right. Let's measure Ciskie's statement ... and as expected ...
  4. His collapsible. They wouldn't let him back in his Ice Castle.
  5. Icon is a non-starter: not UND's; no broadcast capabilities. REA Olympic or nothing.
  6. One pundit I heard recently noted the change in performance for the Wild times exactly with the Arizona trade.
  7. One more thought: A much as some of you may not like or agree with the "Fighting Hawks" name, logo, or resolution, there are some that like it even far less. Those are the folks that don't like to see UND back winning.
  8. To me, the casual observer, I'd note that now that all the tense energy surrounding the old nickname (waiting for the next court order, or the next flair-up, or the next "incident") is gone, what's happened? 2016 Men's National Ice Hockey Champions 2017 Big Sky Volleyball Champions 2017 Big Sky Football Champions 2017 Big Sky Women's Basketball Champions 2017 Big Sky Men's Basketball Champions And a first ever Men's Basketball appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Oh, and now a 15th straight NCAA men's ice hockey tournament appearance. (The name didn't change that. See above.) A casually observing cynic might claim that now that the situation is resolved that energy and focus has been redirected to far better things for UND and UND Athletics. You may not completely like the resolution, but you can't argue with the results since "Fighting Hawks".
  9. Funny thing is, the most successful team under the "Fighting Hawks" name is ... 2016 Men's Ice Hockey National Champions. Yes, the name was in place at that time. It was used by ESPN during the game.
  10. No worries. But that's how the NCAA rolls.
  11. Yup. Exactly. No flashbacks to Frozen Four of 1997*. *Michigan was so sure they'd be in the final they overlooked BU. Whups.
  12. FYP. That's the NCAA's thing.
  13. " ... significant re-allocation of budgetary resources ... " or ...
  14. A. And then you line up and try to make it 6-1 before the horn. In your scenario you need those two players for the next game more than anything else.
  15. Still waiting for Jack Michaels to roll out a "Track it down Marge!" during a UND FB game.
  16. Gopher freshmen? Work? Stop it. You're killin' me.
  17. Saying they've retained Baker Donelson is a message from UND to the folks that won't be happy (and there are sure to be some). From the link, here's the Baker Donelson message: The Baker Donelson message: We know what we do, we do what we do, and we don't lose when we do it. If you're going to play in the Title IX/OCR sandbox, yeah, you hire someone like that.
  18. With the NCAA that's as bad or worse than the cigar!
  19. No. It's worse. It's a bird with teeth.
  20. Same acting classes as your team I see.
  21. Didn't know you spoke Latin ... sort of.
  22. So you're blue/green color blind. Tough break.
  23. Anything involving women has significant budgetary impacts. That is all. Next question.
