  1. For you, done.
  2. Yo, bale, you may like my bracket picks ... When should I expect your check?
  3. You're making me proud to be a fellow UND fan.
  4. Very nice. I wish you'd have shared this notion earlier. I'd have done the same. I ended up sending mine to a co-worker's relative who lives in the SF area who already had tickets. They'll try to see that mine get used one way or another.
  5. If there's no monorail I don't want to hear about it anyway. Same goes for a retractable roof.
  6. So, when do we get to heckle, laugh at, see everyone else's picks? Mine are, shall we politely say, ... interesting.
  7. There is much early departure bleeding yet to come. The team buses going to the NCAAs will not be as full returning is my guess.
  8. If you like multi-colored maps do these sites have something for you! NWS GFK: https://www.weather.gov/fgf/ NWS ABR: https://www.weather.gov/abr/ NWS FSD: https://www.weather.gov/fsd/ NWS: https://www.weather.gov/
  9. Isn't Dooley's collegiate eligibility done?
  10. ... and we'll remind you they're still 7 behind ...
  11. And like it or not, in today's world university presidents and ADs are like the front-man in a band.
  12. God helps those who help themselves and you seem to have a ton of free time. Have at it.
  13. KVRR is not the first source I look to for UND Hockey breaking news. Like I said, that's Schlossman or Heinert.
  14. Yes, BIZ, you recognized sounding like a captain: Rhett Gardner on returning for his senior season: "This year left a sour taste. I want to get everything back to where it was when I came here as a freshman." No "hopefully". No "we'd like". A simple "I want." See problem. Define problem. Define solution. Work to it.
  15. Off-season homework: 1. If there are issues in the room, resolve them. Everyone pulls on the same rope in the same direction. 2. Power play efficiency meaning both on and killing. 3. Offensive mindset. Perfect is the enemy of good enough. Don't wait for the perfect shot; get the shot off. 4. Conditioning. Yes, conditioning. The forwards need to get back faster and harder and transition better. The defense needs to work on positioning and transitions. The pace needs to be faster and that requires even better conditioning. I'm tired of seeing a D-to-D pass and the receiver being flat-footed and looking for a passing lane. Move. Go.
  16. One of the other Minnesota schools would be a dagger to the heart to Goldie, so I'm intrigued. Call it schadenfreude. Not BU or Princeton for obvious reasons. Not DU or Michigan for reasons of "the chase". Not Clarkson because I have a soft spot for Rensselaer (and they are rivals). Give me Michigan Tech or USAFA and I'd have no issues.
  17. I don't see Adams going anywhere after a freshman year. Yes, he got exposed in that he needs to get stronger and work on his defensive game; but, that happens to a lot of young players that jump up a level. Historically, guys that leave the program are guys who are low minutes, low output after their sophomore season.
  18. Yeah, he's playing left out.
  19. A nice WaPo article mentioning some of our guys and leaving early but finishing degrees ... and their parking tickets ... http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/4420917-nhl-players-boeser-chorney-oshie-finishing-their-degrees-despite-homework-and
  20. Dillon Simpson was called up to Edmonton but I do not believe he appeared in a game. So close ...
  21. That's dang right. Curb the irrational exuberance. Hope's for chumps. Embrace your inner Eeyore.
  22. KVRR? Um ... Now if it was Alex Heinert or The Schloss ... that said, The Schloss is tweeting that the Caps and Gersich are in talks.
  23. You say that like it's a good thing. I want a person who might still be looking for a little more. It keeps one sharp. I know of two recent guys who we all could recognize this was their last job before retirement; dare I say Bob Kelley and Brian Faison.
  24. No, you're < bleeping > about a problem you perceive but without (a) listening to determine if your perception is reality, and (b) bringing in a solution. That second one is definitely not the way I was taught at UND: If I had a problem my advisers expected me to bring a proposed solution as well. Rather than bemoaning that "X is doing whatever" how about doing more and better than X. Grousing about X here solves nothing.
