It would effectively have the same (negative) impact on everyone. Keep dancing your victory dance.

UND doesn’t have a female head coach now

You could change that 2 to a 1 and still be correct based on transpired events. -
I've slowed that down to 25% in YouTube from all the angles and I have to agree with this assessment.

Anybody have the access codes to a real-time Keyhole satellite so I can look in and see what's going on on Columbia Road? -
I was reading somewhere that in some places malls are being converted to anything you can imagine. Condos. Assisted living. A fire station! Why not a library.

Kinda-sorta-private. If you dig into who is doing those it's some folks with NDSU foundation ties as a "favor" to the school. I know a couple of the people and they wonder if they'll see full ROI. -
Fargo already lost their Sears. Kmart is part of Sears. It's not long for the world either. Malls everywhere are dying. Heck, walk through West Acres or either mall (Kirkwood or Gateway) in Bismarck. Lots of open slots also. I believe Doug Bergum's vision of having a vibrant downtown with specialty shops and combined use (commercial at street, residences above) is the future. Sure, you'll have some big boxes still; but, the world is becoming online based. Malls are suffering for it. And what'll survive are the specialties, the niche stores.

Frankly, I'm glad to see private developers doing that development. Why? It shows the private sector sees building around UND as a good investment: Boden, that monster complex north of Alerus, the combined use buildings west of campus (like where Red Pepper West is with apartments above). Alternatively, if the building is built by the university, the State is on the hook to pay for it if it doesn't self-sustain. -

< whistling past > FLIP ... < thump onto front porch > < whistling away > PS - Part VIII of that link is a good read. Sean is the grandson who dropped a puck. PPS - Part XV (in the main doc and a bunch of continuation sheets at the end) shows who Ralph's estate donated to. PPPS - Form 990 is a fabulous thing. -

Always remember and never forget: Kennedy is first and foremost a politician. He knows how to work a situation and a room. When it's happening it may look wrong to you, but you and I seldom see the end game the politician sees. -
You'd be better off trying to convince the Summit League and National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) to merge administrative structures under one roof. UND and DU were the driving force to formation of the NCHC. Omaha is an original member. I don't see that breaking up any time soon as the NCHC (UND, DU, Duluth) has won the last three NCAA DI titles. Want to ensure the Summit keeps its MBB autobid? Start Summit League football. Done.

Let me make one statement about that news story: It all came from one side of the conversation. The other side was a simple press release. -
So perfect score would be: Depart: Wolanin, Gersich Arrive: Bernard-Dockter, Hain, Huber, Keane, Scheel, Tychonick, & Weatherby To my quick review stoney and BIZ tie for first.

You want an LT and a BB4? Um, that's four LBs, two TEs, and a reserve QB, and you probably have to toss in a soccer striker. You want the extended warranty option with that too?

Well, not exactly. The news report said: What the news report did NOT say; what you speculate is this portion: And your speculation is tenuous at best. The NDUS is on record saying that they were staying out of the matter. Next, REA wouldn't become a property tax issue for GF. It'd become an issue for the State as they'd own it. Finally, UND is managing their money; that said, they're having to do some unpopular things (in some quarters) because there's not enough money. -

What's the hardest thing in the world to do? Trust. What do leaders do? Hand over responsibilities and expectations and then trust people to achieve. Kennedy walking out of that room tells me he understood the situation (he'd become a distraction) and trusted his people to get what he came for. We'll find out one way or another when "the ink dries". -
