Yes, old dead batteries are an issue. I'm glad you brought that up. I'd hope the answer would be recycle. The question you're not asking is: How are wind towers retired? The answer is ... not well. And it's not just us; the Germans have the same problem.

I'm so glad you brought up "January". We were closer than many want to admit to rolling blackouts in January 2019. It was overcast, and it was colder than -22F so the auto-disable on the wind towers was active (to prevent damage from cold). https://news.minnkota.com/post/polar-vortex-reflections Many don't like when I say we need battery technology to advance before we can go renewables (solar, wind). Here's the proof. The only way the lights stayed on was fossil (coal, nat gas) and nuclear, and managing down baseline load (off-peak loads being shut off). ... and we know Mister Biden and Missus Harris' views on fossil.

Wash your hands. Cover your cough. Stay home if you're not feeling well. I heard all that last winter, and the winter before, and the winter before ... it's how you fight a ... flu virus.

Thought question of the day: The entire US electrical grid goes down for 100 hours. Where would you rather be: - Times Square in Manhattan, NY - Downtown Fargo, ND - A working farmyard in some ND county that doesn't border the Red The lack of electricity will not destroy the city; its effects will. Imagine when there's no fresh water ... and no sewage lifts ... in NYC.

Mister Biden got more votes than Hillary Clinton or Mister Obama. And yet the R pick up 12 House seats? Something in those two data points does not align.

It would be tempting to walk in and loudly offer a free drink to any health care worker with ID and see how many are out. And then ask why they are out if it’s so terrible.

I’d comment on Notre Dame’s offense but I guess we all have to wait to tonight to see it.

Let’s talk ND age 80+ cumulative data: 3200 positives 470 deaths (14.7%) That’s an ugly number. What is the average year death rate for that age group?

... this protest is NOT fiery ... but mostly peaceful?

Someone said 30% fail rate in a school district they know. West Fargo Sheyenne wishes they could get back to a rate that good. Not kidding.

Lockdown are single variate thinking in a multivariate world.

Airlines, as any private business, can dictate terms of service. And the customer can go elsewhere if they don’t like the terms. That “go elsewhere” does not apply to government and monopolies.
-
If lockdowns work why is a second needed?

If that happens Senator Manchin becomes more powerful than we could've imagined. McConnell would offer him the sun and the moon to change sides to the R.

Call and call again. But only call me on ... December 14.

Chelsea Clinton matters because ... PS - How many Biden Secret Service agents had to quarantine. To be fair, can we do a "agents positive per miles traveled" comparison?

Why does that give me visions of a little old lady flagging down a cop on the street, not to help get her cat out of a tree, but to beg for a mask and to not cite her because hers just blew off.

It's fabulous if the goal is to make everyone a criminal. PS - I've long said as a taxpayer I'd gladly pay to give every US citizen a US Passcard (like a US Passport) if it was required to vote.

And that is useful because ...

US Constitution Article I, Section 4 US Constitution Amendment XII Those are what are being explored. Following the Constitutional process. Radical. Again, will it work for Mister Trump? One in five odds at best.
-
The optics (cough-MSP politics-cough) of abandoning it would be far worse.

I have direct knowledge (was sent to me as I have someone in facility) of a ND care facility that has 25 positives all at once (like 13 staff, 12 residents). Immediate retesting found ... 2 positive staff.
