    Sanderson could've made a better choice. (He had more time than he realized.) But, the forward didn't do much to help the clearing attempt nor did they do much to stop the shot-pass. And the other defenseman was late getting over to the man who made the tip. That will assuredly be a film room conversation.

    PHI only has 11 F on the big roster and under $3 M of space. Good cheap players (Allison, Brink) would have that advantage. Allison is already under his first contract.

    I think this is correct. I like my solution: SWE over RUS then USA over SWE (and the SWE streak ends).

    GER 4-1 SUI with ten to play. You could hear the German coach sphincter-clinch as SUI scored. Because it just went 4-2.

    With the SVK loss they are guaranteed quarters (Group A third or fourth), ... and ... GER with: - W or OTW finishes third in Group A - OTL finishes fourth - L finishes fifth (and out of quarters; SUI would finish 4 in Group A)

    Big Z is now a ... Capital. First Mookie Betts to LAD; then Tom Brady to TB; now this. Boston must be freaking out.

    5-0 FIN ... and it'd be far worse if the SVK goalie (Hlavaj) wasn't playing out of his mind. FIN is playing hard and going to the net. Mentioning SVK ... Big Z (Chara) is now a teammate of Oshie and Ovechkin.

    Not sure the international rule on scoring on the delayed penalty.

    FIN on its way, up 3-0 half way through game. SVK had delayed penalty and I swear FIN controlled the puck (6x5) for over a minute before giving up possession (including two good scoring chances).

    You're not; I am. FIN (2 GP and 6 pts) scenarios starting today: Get 3 pt v SVK (for 9 pts), must beat CAN (R or OT). Get 2 pt v SVK (for 8 pts), must beat CAN (R or OT). Get 1 pt v SVK (for 7 pts), must beat CAN in regulation. Get 0 pt v SVK (for 6 pts), must beat CAN in regulation.

    Six games left as of now: Today: FIN/SVK -- FIN need the regulation win to set up top spot battle with CAN tomorrow SUI/GER -- regulation win by SUI and they go to quarters; less and GER goes RUS/SWE -- that 54(?) game SWE streak on the line as is top in Group B Tomorrow: CZE/AUT -- regulation win by AUT and they go to quarters; less and CZE goes CAN/FIN -- too soon to know but probably top of Group A to winner SWE/USA -- too soon to know the scenarios, except if SWE beats RUS they'll be playing for the top of Group B
