    Hall of Fame - 1989 Inductees Don W. Gunhus (BB 1972-75) Gunhus ranked ninth on UND's basketball scoring list with over 1, 096 career points. He was a four-year letterwinner, 1971-75, averaging 10.9 points and 5.1 rebounds during his career. Gunhus led UND to two North Central Conference championships in 1974 and 1975, named to the All-NCC first team in 1973-74 and was the Most Valuable Player for the Fighting Sioux and served as team captain his senior year in 1974-75. In the three seasons he started as a Sioux forward he showed remarkable consistency of effort.
