Q taking reps at TE is a strong tell that someone else has moved up the QB chart in the standard packages. (Q still likely has a four to eight play short yardage QB package just for him.) One more thought: Someone needs to tell Q that after a catch at TE it's OK to go down with full possession. Guys used to pile-struggling get stripped in the open field.

My speculation is some horse-trading happened: The MAC got the "15k rule" eliminated but in return there'll much tougher enforcement of new higher grants standards. And being dollars grants are much more easily audited than "attendance".

Defensive line play can cover up a multitude of sins behind it, anything from - not letting "clean" runners at speed through holes to - holding perimeters to force runners into tacklers to - not having DBs cover for a seven count. For the last couple seasons Tom Dosch had a unique perspective: former coach, now in the radio booth, likely had been given insights to strategy and tactics for each game. He better than most would know what the plan was and what was and was not working. And he should have the vision to know why. He'd go on radio rants on things at times because he could understand what was happening. I think he'll be remembered as a very key addition to the staff to help develop the new DC.

Do I 100% believe that is real and happening? No. Is it plausible? Clearly.

That's C-USA doing my "North Division" concept but going southwest with it. They (C-USA) get an FBS bullpen to draw from going forward and they are no longer the lowest FBS conference after this shakes out. And with a pending NCAA $5M FBS buy-in looming, this is announced just before. I wonder if C-USA is getting anything for the 'timely' invitations.
