  1. He's not just the AD at Denver, he's able to run the whole university. PS - Shouldn't pharmacy be with medicine also?
  2. Seems more common than not (KFGO, WDAY, KSTP, WCCO, ... ). Right now there are more good questions than good answers.
  3. I think you may have missed the opening play (if KVOX wasn't it). The (new) 50kW KVOX isn't the newest 50kW stick in the game. And like the link says, the new one is owned by the former Sioux Hockey public address announcer at Ralph Engelstad Arena. Very curious.
  4. Did you know: The co-owner of the LA Sparks is 1989 Miss North Dakota and UND alumna Carla Christofferson. Do the Sparks and Lynx playing in Grand Forks make more sense now?
  5. And Denver doesn't play football.
  6. It says Bamba was at a "(Name here) College" prep school which implies to me a prep school associated with a college, and thus they'd be freshmen. Rylan Kaip came from "Athol Murray College of Notre Dame" (the Notre Dame Hounds) so using the word "college" in a different context than we're used to seems common "north of the border".
  7. (At risk of this detonating in my face ... ) Look at today's Fargo South hockey roster. If it was 2011, per the boundaries, most of those kids would be going to Fargo's (UND graduate-->) Judge Ronald Davies High School.
  8. Geez Mike, don't hold back, tell us what's on your mind.
  9. http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=3601...p;postcount=474 And for those who missed it ... http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=3600...p;postcount=463
  10. You have to pay the bills. An empty arena won't do it. Is that nice enough?
  11. If the goal is to have UND womens hockey attendance exceed UND mens hockey attendance, this is surely the plan. If the goal is to play in the same conference as NDSU the day NDSU adds hockey, this is surely the plan. Otherwise, let's just say it leaves open opportunity for skepticism and harsh critique.
  12. There is regional precedent regarding Montana Tech.
  13. By which measure? Endowment? Harvard, a DI (an FCS school). Enrollment? NYU, sure, a DIII. But Stanford is smaller than UND or NDSU. Should they go DIII also? How about Duke? I thought according to some DI is all about the prestige and glory of the higher level of DI athletics. If privately funded DU wants to spend private dollars on athletics to chase that prestige and glory, in a word, so?
  14. So if being a contender for a national title is the criteria, be careful, some may apply it to your favorite school. Why should DU jump through these hoops? http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/i...yUpSchools.html Being DI is the easy answer for DU. Let's cut to the chase here: Why the sudden fetish for DU Athletics? Is it that the Sun Belt is looking to cast them off? Is it that they get "face time" on FSN - Rocky Mountain? Is it that as a non-FB school they'd be a nice add to a conference (Denver market) to make an even number of BB but odd number of FB programs in a western conference (like the Big Sky)? I never thought I'd be here justifying DU as a DI (especially after this weekend) but why the sudden "expertise" in DU Athletics and where they should be going?
  15. Careful, I think I might know her and her parents ....
  16. It's called the "Peltier rule". You can take a full-fledged punch at anyone in a Sioux jersey, and more than one if he's smaller than you, without penalty. McLeod and Shepherd can justify ... uh, I mean explain it.
  17. Is all of that stretching during stoppages his normal routine? He almost seemed slow or "off". I got the feeling watching him that he was battling a cold or flu. He didn't seem "right".
  18. I just want to see how deep this "experise" runs. Consider it the eggs for the omelet.
  19. It takes two to make a deal. What was really going on in the heads of Okposo, Trotter, and now Reaney. Team issues? School issues? Money issues?
  20. If he sees the same number of shots that JPL saw in the first v. DU on Saturday, just fine.
  21. Depends: He could still take this year as a medical redshirt (he's played in fewer than 20% of scheduled games and none in the second half of the released schedule). What are the team plans for Michael Forney? I'd guess we'll see Davidson and Miller.
  22. (I know I'm going to regret this ....) So what is Dayton doing that you could "improve"?
