What an interesting comment by the Governor: He's had Drew Wrigley looking into this issue.
If the AG has to recuse himself, what an interesting litigator for the State of ND Mr. Wrigley, or is that Lt. Gov. Wrigley, would make:
- current Lieutenant Governor of ND
- prior US Attorney for District of ND
-- the man who put away Alphonso Rodriguez (the killer of UND student Drew Sjodin)
- University of North Dakota graduate
Contrary to what some may tell you, athletic "grants-in-aid" (also known as scholarships) are a one year arrangement.
If you have four years on athletic scholarship you have four one-year agreements, not one four-year agreement.
He should get the same reprimand that Leigh Jeanotte got after disagreeing loudly and publicly with the SBoHE in Dec 2000.
Oh, wait, ... that was ... none.
He was a QB. Has he played the position? I guess I like to see coaches that have experience in the role (especially younger coaches). Learning how to teach/coach is hard enough; having to learn a position at the same time doubles the difficulty.
Well, all we know right now* is that the 2011 WCHA will finish with
1 North Dakota
12 Michigan Tech
2-3-4 will be DU, UMD, and UNO in some order
5-6 will be Minnesota and CC in some order
7-8-9 will be SCSU, UW and UAA in some order
10-11 will be BSU and MSUM in some order.

*We are just hours away from the start of the last five WCHA regular season games of the season and we still don't know! Tim Hennessy called this situation in the Saturday UND@MTU pregame "a schmozzle" (whatever that is).
I'm thinking Tech needs to stop taking penalties so Lammy-Davidson-Rodwell and Nelson-Cichy-Gleason get some playing time.
Tech: 10 saves ... 6 goals allowed. Ouch.
