We came up with this cheer 'cause we can't say f... f-forget this idea. Nevermind. A simple rafter-rattling, thunderous "Lets go Sioux" is the most intimidating thing to the opposition. It makes it very clear they aren't playing against 20, but against 11,020.

I've heard Brian Faison talk about how at a previous school, in basketball, after warnings, technical fouls have been dropped onto teams during games for fan behavior. He doesn't think we're there yet and that the situation can be remedied before coming to that, but he's seen it happen and doesn't want the conference or NCAA to start mandating penalties for fan behavior. We don't need the cussin' cheers going out over TV just like UMD didn't need this article being written. I miss the creativity of "Martha Stewart" aimed at that former CC player. I know that creativity is still there. So let's see it! UND says: Innovative. Creative. Entrepreneurial. Spirited. I say: Be better. Be North Dakota.

You should be. Ken Massey has them ranked ahead of you too.

Brand didn't enact the policy. The NCAA Executive Committee did. They're still there. And we know how they think: They tried once before. And we know how idealists can be persistent.
-
The NCAA could change its policy to "We don't care if you have tribal permission or not." Nothing is stopping the NCAA from doing that.

They have some flashy-blinky-whiz-bang stuff on that opening page so I'm sure if you don't have the right add-ins on your browser it looks rather grey and box-ish.

Problems I Noticed With Attendence This Year
The Sicatoka replied to SiouxDude12's topic in Football
So let me get this straight: UND had head-to-head scheduled a volleyball game against the Cal Poly FB game. And they head-to-head scheduled the OSU/UND womens hockey game against the SOU FB game. Come on. Let's be serious. Halloween VB could've been moved up to a 1 pm start given the 4 pm FB game. Womens hockey could've played at 7 pm*, after FB, as the mens team was at Michigan Tech and there was no television. *I'm assuming OSU didn't fly out Saturday night. -

Central Michigan (the Chippewas) has a "tribal approval" NCAA moniker exemption. That cures everything, right? http://www.cm-life.com/2009/11/09/action-w...nd-other-talks/

Seems there's been some "rotations" on that wing.

Division 1 Transition: Precursor for Perennial Mediocrity?
The Sicatoka replied to breakin face's topic in Football
Teams want the punt away in under 2.2 seconds after the snap. Cameron is working on getting under that mark consistently. (That was a knock on the guy who punted before Hellevang also.) -
All that excitement at "Boogie Wonderland" made me thirsty. Only one thing to do: Go For a Soda. ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344">

For those of you wondering where you find a "love rollercoaster" you go to a "Boogie Wonderland". ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344">

It makes sense for both sides. Crede just can't stay healthy. Cameron (in MIL) seems like he's been around forever; he must be about 107 years old.
-
I guess we'll see what the team learned about showing up for every game.

Division 1 Transition: Precursor for Perennial Mediocrity?
The Sicatoka replied to breakin face's topic in Football
I just had my "Ah-ha!" moment. I was going through the UND FB roster looking for redshirt freshmen (RFr.) that I was going to say that I hoped would get lots of reps against S. Oregon. I had sorted the roster by year. I started looking at names of RFr. and sadly, I already knew most of them because they're playing. Finding that amazing, I scrolled down to the juniors and seniors. In the past there were names of Jr. and Sr. that I'd never seen before (because they didn't play) in that list. However, this time I recognize the name of ever senior and every junior because they are playing. I think I've seen all the Jr and Sr on the field. Looking at sophomores, I think all but maybe three of them have seen the field. And RFr, more have seen the field than not. That tells me what is going on the field is very young relative to UND teams from earlier this decade. (Think about UND's 2001 team. I'm not sure any RFr. played, and not many So for that matter.) Now, what are things that are common traits of young teams? Inconsistency? The occassional lack of focus? Occassionally lacking intensity? Wild swings from looking pitiful to looking like world-beaters? And dare I say "rookie mistakes"? Any of that sound familiar to what we've seen this year? I guess I'd call this "growing pains" or maybe "transition". -
Someone say ... funk? You can't have funk without "The Brothers ... Johnson". Rat? I see a half-breed rodent bast..., er, off-spring. Squirrel buck teeth. Beaver flat tail. Chipmunk (not gopher) striping. Goldie's mom must've had lots of ... friends.

Where would they (the obstructionists) go? They have a pretty good situation and have the rest of the MVFC hamstrung: They don't want to expand, and the expansionists need them to keep the playoff autobid.
-
You didn't state that notion. You just assumed Montata State in.
-
Be serious. NDSU and SDSU were too well funded and too far west in the eyes of some of the Gateway/MVFC. Given that, how would Montana State be viewed? Non-starter.

Massey has it 154 and 34 (FCS). http://www.mratings.com
